ChatGPT - Liza - The Digital Tool Accessibility Analyzer

Thank you to those who expressed interest in exploring how we can determine if a digital tool meets WCAG guidelines.

As a follow-up, I'd like to invite you to try out Liza, a prototype ChatGPT-powered bot I developed based on all of our conversations to assist with digital tool accessibility reviews. Liza acts as an accessibility expert at a higher education institution, with a focus on identifying whether commonly used tools (like Canvas, Padlet, Quizlet, and more) align with WCAG 2.0 and 2.1 A & AA guidelines.

🛠️ What Liza Does:

Analyzes digital tools used in higher education

Evaluates them for WCAG 2.0/2.1 A and AA compliance

Lists the specific guidelines met (not all tools meet all criteria)

Explains why those guidelines matter

Cites sources or acknowledges when a source isn't available (no AI hallucinations - we hope - but always check!)

Designed as a professional advisory tool, not a formal audit

Generate customized rubrics, and then evaluate the tool based on them 📍If you're exploring AI in accessibility or evaluating tools under the new Title II guidance, I'd love for you to try it and share your feedback!

Here's the link to test out Liza: Liza - The Digital Tools Accessibility Analyzer

Let me know what you think of the prototype, how this might support your team's efforts, what else you wish Liza could do!

Have a great weekend!
