This is the nation's first census. Heads of families are listed by name; everyone else in the household is counted with hash marks in various age/sex/race categories. In 1790, there wasn't a lot of settlement west of the Hudson River. Census takers did not come to what is now Buffalo until 1810.
1875 Census Index Cattaraugus Co., Indian Reservation
This index (of surnames of heads of households only) was made many years ago for the Cattaraugus County Museum at Little Valley, NY and has been digitized by a team of Cattaraugus County researchers. There will be errors, given the difficulty in deciphering some of the handwriting of the original census records.
