Richmond’s City Council just selected a development team for a $2.4 billion reimagining of the Diamond District, which could yield more housing, transit-oriented development, and park space.

On Wednesday night, many commissioners expressed support for 9-story projects, if not taller, at the North Berkeley and Ashby BART stations.

Berkeley City Council approved of the single largest investment to affordable housing–for a project to be located near two BART stations.

A new residential building that embraces multimodality is in the works for downtown Austin. Plans for Shoal Cycle, an infill redevelopment at 812 West 11th Street, were submitted to the city on Monday and include a request for a height increase.
