Bubble Tea (also known as pearl milk tea, boba milk tea, or simply boba) is a Taiwanese drink that was invented in Taichung in the 1980s. The tea is mixed with milk or fruits and topped off with chewy tapioca pearls.
Along with the growing popularity of bubble tea and how the beverage has evolved since its creation, it’s also important to mention that not every recipe maintains the same original flavor first discovered in Taiwan and that’s where we come in!

PERFECT DOUGH & LOCAL ROOTS While working at an area restaurant, Chris Efaw was introduced to a local business owner looking to get out of the business. After acquiring his first pick-up and delivery-only location off of Hwy 9, he began on a quest to develop the perfect pie.
After experimenting with different dough recipes, Chris was finally satisfied with the dough that would prove to be the base of his phenomenal recipes. After years of success, he moved into his second location down the street, and after 3 years, the demand for his product grew to a point where he was able to move to his current location.
After his years in the industry, we know that without the special residents and local support we have received, we would not be where we are today. That’s why at Chris’ Pizza & Pub, our customers are our greatest ingredient.

The Tavern In The Forest has been a place where friends meet for decades. In December 2019, a few Myrtle Beach locals decided to buy the restaurant and give it a bit of a facelift. This old-school deli has stood the test of time in downtown Myrtle Beach. Opened in 1979, Mr. Sub has seen the streets around it redesigned, cutting it off from mainstream traffic.
Mr. Sub may have a limited menu but there’s no shortage of good choices. Hot and cold subs, like the oven-baked Super Sub with roast beef, ham, turkey and bacon or the Italian with ham, Genoa salami are popular choices. The steak sandwiches and the gyros, featuring a mix of beef, lamb and chicken carved straight from the rotisserie, make the mouth water while waiting for your order.
Somewhat surprisingly, Mr. Sub also serves spaghetti with a side salad, and any sandwich or sub can be converted to a salad for those watching their weight. A couple of other curious but tasty sub selections are the Pizza Sub, the Hamburger Sub and for breakfast fans, the Egg Sub. All sandwiches are served on hoagie rolls and come with chips and a limited number of side items and beverages.
