In this video I show you how I personally clean my chainsaw, using no petrol gasoline or soaking components for hours in containers of fluid. I don't clean my chainsaw after every usage, but after several usages depending on how dirty it has become. The video consists of cleaning the area behind the chain cover (the Chain Drive Sprocket and Centrifugal Clutch etc). I show how I clean the dirt and debris from this area using either light oil or carburetor spray. I move on to the outside of the carburetor and air filter. Then inside the inlet area of the carburetor. I also remove the recoil and clean this inside and out. I then clean the flywheel and check it for 'up and down' movement that may suggest main bearing wear. The bar and chain then get a thorough clean before I place everything back together. Thank you for watching my video and I hope it gives you some good ideas as to the way you clean your chainsaw. This principle works for most types of Chainsaw saws, and the following also helps with Chainsaw maintenance. So, whether you are using a Stihl Chainsaw, Husquvarna Chainsaw, basically, all types of Petrol Chainsaw are valid for this principle, as well as many types of or a 2 Stroke Engine. The Electric Chainsaw, of course, escapes this whole principle!
