Therefore, I decided to choreograph it by myself. The first thing to do was to shoot a video reference or act it out, to figure out the basic choreography. Since we didn't have any mocap or stunt footages available for this particular section of the sequence,this was the first thing to do. I asked my professional pillow fighter bro DICCO, the great 😂 to come to my place on a weekend and help me shoot some reference footage as it was impossible to act out the actions just by myself. We ended up having an intense pillow fight competition instead, ha haa... which turned out to be more fun than I expected…eventhough I almost broke my back in the process 🥴 Maybe we should do it more often! I was not planning to match these actions 1:1 while ani...

After seeing @spidermanacrossthespiderverse I was super inspired and wanted to do something related, and seeing the challenge theme was just the perfect excuse for me 😜. I was already a big fan of @gingerhazing ’s comic, and I got to spend 3+ years helping to shepherd and develop this character, under then director @posborne, alongside an outstanding team of artists at Blue Sky — I have a lot of love for this character, and despite the film’s complicated journey, I’m very happy to see her out in the world… . . This was one of the first physicality tests with the official asset once Jin and I got Nimona’s rig in working order. This essentially became our “Big Hero Chair Test”, we had each of the primary characters exiting a castle/fortress in a completely different state of mind and physicality. Nimona of course would be casual, even with her arm on fire and give a little salute on her way out… the rest are just a few iterations of early run cycles . . More tests to come. . . #an...
