Heavy rain triggered flooding in parts of northern New Jersey late Tuesday, August 6, as strong thunderstorms moved through the region. Footage filmed and posted to X by North Jersey Video Service, @Northjerseyvids, shows cars and businesses partially submerged in floodwaters in Hillsdale on Tuesday night. A cold front associated with yesterday’s heavy rainfall was “moving south” but a chance of showers was still possible for the area on Wednesday, the National Weather Service said on Wednesday morning.
