It's shit like this that brought me to doing what I do... but at the same time, it's shit like this that muddies the waters for effective evidence based pharmaceuticals, propelling anti-vaxxers and... the likes of RFK Jr. Just.... ugh. As always - the issue is profit seeking capitalists and their shareholders (often fueled by *public money and then profits collected privately, a total disgrace). I've added this to my essay "Colonialist Skepticism of TCM" due to the sheer hypocrisy I see from many in the medical community. (Though, it's admittedly getting much better as many of the so-called skeptics have backed down on TCM in recent years as the evidence has piled up, as I demonstrate).

Like so many aspects of this pandemic, the vaccine shortage is a clear example of how the private sector has failed to protect us during a crisis. Rather than setting its own priorities and running its own program, the Canadian government continues to chase companies such as Pfizer—which no democratic government controls. We see the results now, as health authorities cancel vaccine appointments and new cases surge across the country.
