Musk, Tech Bros & AI Fascism

This post largely aligns with my views on the near future (and likely explains my fascination with cyberpunk culture to boot) - and name drops Naomi Klein's latest book Doppelganger.

I'm almost finished her book and you'll be hearing more about soon as it brilliantly connects the dots to the parallel (distraction) world of conspiracy culture while in reality capitalism continues its unchecked conversion of the living to the dead.

Every accusation is a confession. Make no mistake, despite alligator tears of Musk, I *still argue that perhaps not literally planned (mygad I'm beginning to sound like the conspiracy theorists I rail against... except, yanno, all I hear is crickets from them when *actual conspiracies are taking place, these people would have called the Civil Rights movement a conspiracy) so while the specifics may be unplanned, make no mistake - this falls neatly in line with stoking hatred to enable a "it will remain bloodless if the left allows it to be" response. This is still mere *weeks*into this administration.

To bring it home to us in Canada, jfc the NDP gotta get their shit together, cuz the Libs are just gonna cement a disaster capitalism response and further capitalize on the moment to solidify nationalism which in turn furthers the by definition unsustainability of global capitalism.

Fascism is a feature, a symptom, not a side effect.
