Poems on conchology and botany : with plates and notes By Sarah Hoare (1767-1855)
Sarah Hoare (1767-1855) is often confused with another quaker named Sarah Hoare (1777-1856), who was also an artist, and the daughter of abolitionist Samuel Hoare. This Sarah Hoare was born in Bristol to a non-quaker family, and became a convinced quaker at a young age. She made a career as a teacher, and devoted much of her time to fighting against blood-sports.
