Parking minimums and other zoning laws have made American cities untenable for any other type of transportation. It’s time we find a new way to zone our cities.

Richmond could soon join the likes of New York City, Philadelphia and Atlanta as it considers eliminating mandatory minimum parking space requirements when new buildings are constructed.

For nearly half a year, this small business owner has been ready to open his coffee shop…but the city is refusing to let him do so, all because of antiquated parking mandates.
