Guilty Gear Strive - Ky x May - Interactions with dolphin during corner pressure
Notes:
1. For cases when May FDs two hits, effectively removing DE from the table, because otherwise DE is a good enough threat to stop May from doing s dolphin after c.S 6h or c.S 5h.
2. c.S 6h leaves Ky closer, so to avoid s dolphin, he needs to special cancel.
3. c.S 6h SE is a low risk - low return option, May can jump over into j.S and take turn.
4. c.S 6h DE is a high risk - high return option, Ky likely to get whiff punished if they know MU.
5. c.S 5h leaves Ky far enough to CH dolphin, S horizontal on a read (preemptive 5k or 5p) and H vertical on reaction (5p or 6p).
6. Both c.S 6h and c.S 5h allow to catch vertical H dolphin with 2h as big call out.
7. FA is incredibly risky during corner pressure vs May, since she beats it with pretty much any s dolphin or other fast buttons, like May 5p (4 frames). Ky should avoid FA like a plague here.
8. Pushing your turn (closing distance) after 6h or 5h generally gives May more chances to escape through air, so it's better to just control that space.
