So I got hit and lost a round when a Gio player i was playing against accidentally hit me with 6P through my 5S. So my tired ass decided to lab it out and it turns out that every character can go through Ram 5S and 5HS with 6P, as a ram player, this deeply saddens me, but ill sacrifice this knowledge for the community. If you're like me (and many others), you must hate Ram's 236H pressure. Been thinking of using this option more so that the Ram player has to be more mindful on offense when I have meter. In Guilty Gear Strive, Ramlethal gets her swords back when she uses her beam super. If she has 100 tension then she can RC the super and get a consequence-free approach. If she's just tossing it out to get her swords back, it's very punishable by the entire cast. What we have here are simple punishes when you're full screen. With good reads or reactions you can use things like double jumps and moves that alter air momentum to avoid the beam entirely and land close enough for big fat punishes off moves like 5[D]. This is just to remind people that you should be destroying Ram for being greedy with this super because I've seen barely anyone punish it throughout both the betas and launch weeks. Combo notation: Sol: 214[S], 5K 6S xx 236K Ky: 2S 6H xx 236K May: f.S RC 2H [2]8H, [2]8H, [4]6S, whatever you want to break the wall Axl: [4]6S~S or 41236H (depends on if you want to RC for more damage) Chipp: 2S 2H xx 236S (delayed), cl.S 2H 236K Potemkin: [4]6H (RC it if you want to do more) Faust: 2H xx 236S or 41236K~4~H Millia: f.S 2H xx 236S, 5K j.K j.D 666 j.K j.D xx 236H or 236P Zato: 2S 2H xx 236[S], 2S 2H ]S[ (can cancel the first hit of ]S[ with 632146S for super wall break and recovery of Eddie gauge) Ramlethal: Your own Calvados lol OR f.S 2H xx 623P, 5K 6H 236H, 236S Leo: f.S xx 236S (you can get a 5H after the f.S but it's tougher to time) Nagoriyuki: 236K, 214H xx 236K, 5K, cl.S 6H (do whatever your preferred damage/blood gain combo route is. The point is you get 214H starter.) Giovanna: 66 236K RC, cl.S j.k j.D 66 j.S j.H, cl.S 6HHH Anji: 236[H]~K, cl.S 5H 236H~H, cl.S 6H (you can cancel 6H into a super since the wall break happens at the end of the move) I-no: 66236H (you can do 236 dash macro~H as well) RC, stuff. I-no players probably have a better roman cancel route. The combo routes I've used are just based on my current knowledge here on day 2. They should give an idea of what sort of starters you can use for the punish, so follow through with anything better you've found from there. I feel like May probably has some better than running f.S but that's all I've got so far.
