I think the part that wastes my time the most is either in 2-3, trying to prioritize which variable to change first with the hopes of finding the problem faster, or in coming up with a metric/comparison that during testing will be able to demonstrate that the problem has been fixed. Probably just a sign that some of my components are too complex.
