I always thought it was a good idea to have a shared platform. Seems like it would have been better to build two or three planes that shared a lot of common internal parts but appropriately optimized airframes.

This is a great way to get kids in the door and build community - and you can always stock relevant books right next to the games and get a lot of crossover readers.
This is my first encounter with the term "scientism". I think Pinker does a disservice in dismissing faith (and its interplay with empiricism) entirely. There is also some indication that the decline in the humanities is overstated. I think I do agree with his main thesis, that the humanities could welcome a scientific perspective without fear of losing their identity.
