I didn't follow this on Twitter, but I was aware that Rowling has been trying very hard to diversify her universe. She may just not have the background to do it.
"His campaign is a postmodernist masterpiece: a subjective surrogate for the real world, where truth and reality are irrelevant." This is a good comment; so is the conclusion that Trump's ignored constituency should not be ignored.
