The Illuminated Prufrock Book -Hand written, Illuminated and Bound with medieval methods.
The Illuminated Prufrock Book -Hand written, Illuminated and Bound with medieval methods.
T.S. Eliot's "The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock" created as a fully illustrated, hand made book. The art combines Italian medieval bianchi girari and Randy Asplund's own spin on Art Nouveau, using real gold, real calf vellum, and all medieval pigments, most of which were made by the artist. The custom binding is hand dyed, tooled, and inlaid leather over carved boards, with special custom hardware made of pure silver. The book takes medieval illuminated book arts into the early 20th century for a 21st century client. See more of Randy Asplund's art on www.RandyAsplund.com and Facebook!
