What is the Residency Programme for Emerging Artists? The STUDIOTOPIA Residency Programme invites 8 emerging visual and performing artists to collaborate with 8 established scientists in a comprehensive 12-month residency. As an artist in this program, you will work closely with a scientist to tackle challenges defined by the Local Challenge Committees (LCC). This residency features multiple in-person encounters, as well as exhibitions and events, that will continue throughout the residency and extend until March 2027. The programme is open to visual artists and performing artists from various disciplines, including media, video and digital art, sculpture, performance art, drawing, dance, theatre, and interdisciplinary approaches. You will receive funding, access to scientific facilities, and guidance and support from the STUDIOTOPIA residency host institution, creating a unique environment to push the boundaries of your artistic practice and engage with critical issues of our time.
