There is no such thing as a vanilla essential oil. Vanilla can not be extracted like most essential oils through cold-pressing or steam distillation.  Because it is extracted differently, it is called an absolute. Here is the one I like:

Love Potion Essential Oil Roll On Perfume Recipe

One of the best things about essential oils is that you can use them in many ways. You can diffuse them, inhale them, or apply them topically. Here is how to make a love potion roller ball perfume with essential oils. This scent is perfect for Valentine's Day or any other special occasion. Let's get started!

3 drops Lavender

3 drops Sweet Orange

2 drops Vanilla Absolute

1 drop Ylang Ylang

Jojoba Oil

10 ml Roller Bottle

How to Make Roll on Perfume

Add essential oils to the roller bottle and fill the rest with jojoba oil (leaving room for the roller top). Place on roller ball and cap, then roll between palms to blend all the ingredients together.

Let the blend "marinate" for at least a few hours or overnight (if you can wait). Be sure to roll between palms before use. Vanilla absolute is thick and tends to settle at the top.

Recipe Tip: If you prefer and have it available, use vanilla-infused jojoba oil and omit the vanilla absolute drops. You can make it homemade, but infusing takes 4-6 weeks.

How to Apply Essential Oil Perfume Roll On

You have probably heard before it is best to apply perfume to "pulse points." The blood vessels are closest to the skin's surface at the pulse points.

These locations let off heat from your skin. So, when you apply the roll-on perfume to these locations, it will naturally react with your body heat and emit the aroma.

The pulse points are at the inner wrists, the inner elbows, behind ear lobes, the bottom of the throat, and behind the knees. I like the cleavage line and the nape of the neck (both warm places!).

How long does roll-on perfume last on the skin?

Roll-on perfumes made with essential oils typically last around 2 to 4 hours on the skin. The longevity can vary depending on the oil concentration and the individual's skin chemistry.

When using essential oil roll-on perfumes, avoid applying them to broken or irritated skin and keep them away from sensitive areas like the eyes. It's also advisable to store them in a cool, dark place to maintain their potency and effectiveness.
