Il tool Nighshade modifica i pixel dell'immagine originale, quindi i risultati ottenuti con i modelli di IA generativa sono praticamente inutili. Il tool, che sarà open source, permette agli artisti di aggiungere modifiche ai pixel dell’immagine originale (invisibili all’occhio umano) per ingannare i modelli IA. Queste immagini alterate digitalmente verranno aggiunte ai database usati per l’addestramento. The creator of the AI protection tool Glaze have created a new tool called Nightshade that corrupts AI generative models. Nightshade exploits a security vulnerability in generative AI models, one arising from the fact that they are trained on vast amounts of data—in this case, images that have been hoovered from the internet. Nightshade messes with those images.
