Why Have Multiple Blogs?
A few people I follow have multiple blogs that they use for various topics, but I don't really understand why.

How many blogs do you have?
Over the years I have noticed that many bloggers (myself included) tend to have more than one blog. For example, I prefer to have one blog for my rants in Italian, another for my rants...

Tending To My Digital Garden
Tending To My Digital Garden
I've written over 3,000 blog posts throughout the years. This blog has become a repository of my thoughts, feelings, experiments, hopes, and creations. It has also become outdated, buggy, and suffers from link-rot. So, every day, I tend to my digital garden. I go in to old posts and check that the links are still […]

Blogosphere's end
Blogosphere's end
Venkatesh Rao, while retiring the Ribbonfarm blog, makes a serious prediction: I do think that the end really is here for the blogosphere though. This time it really is different. I’ve weathered many ups and downs in the blogosphere over my 17 years in it, but now it feels like the end of the blogging era. And what has emerged to take its place is not the blogosphere (and really shouldn’t try to be), even though parts of it have tried to claim the word.

If HTML and CSS are so simple, why haven't static sites reigned supreme?
If HTML and CSS are so simple, why haven't static sites reigned supreme?
Personal websites are not just about words. The presentation of information about ourselves is just as important as anything we write on our blogs or webpages. Our personal sites are fashion statements. They are a critical part of how we want to present in the world and represent a strong signifier of how we see ourselves and want to be seen. The reason more developer-minded folks gravitate towards static site generators is obvious– their technical simplicity makes it easy for us to make our websites our own.
