#ggstrive #ggst #guiltygearstrive Ya so I suppose a few notes about combos in this game that I tinkered with for a few mins.. Which really was only a bit, as I didnt want to stay at home playing video games on the weekend since its not a big deal to me, and the game is whatever, so I had assumed I could just play it on sunday when I was more free for a bit.. but then lo and behold it wasnt even out on sunday.. so a few scraps to keep the channel active besides what ive showed.. and a few notes on ky and combos in the corner.. So not taking into the invisible wall health regeneration into account.. And again NO momentum whatever so ever... basic idea seems to be, duck HS to something else. If they are electrified, duck HS pulls the guy up enough that the elec DP allows you to link off of then whatever blah blah... If they are not electrified yet, duck hs, to qcb+s, pulls the guy up just high enough that you can get a good OTG duck HS, to flip kick unlike normal.. If you are a bit farther away you could do a good OTG duck s, which causes a bounce spinny thingy which then would let a fireball to combo. Or vs lighter you can get a HS good OTG... Theres more you can do off this, but again you needed momentum, so not super realistic since I was thinking of it more practically. Ya theres f+hs which was toned down from last beta to do stuff, but thinking BNB wise off a duck s, or some kinda high low mix up... Which even speaking of that, even doing a jump in sadly just a single hit more.. caused this seemgly simple idea not to work. So I wonder if they are gonna change this or make it more lenient at all, as duck hs, to either big slash thingy, or if they are already electrified dp, seems like it was put in their on purpose as a pretty core idea for his combo stuff.. but its so strict with push back, even a single hit more doesnt work unless you have momentum which makes it very bizarre . I was gonna make a video talking about this and showing off some more theoretical stuff that would probably be his BNBs, and where you could try to do dumb reaches to not think about the wall regeneration but again.. I had assumed I could just play on sunday so didnt really fiddle with the game. But its something that stuck out to me, as curious as it seems to be on purpose for sure.. but its like..they didnt test it really, or when tehy tested..the tester really just had his guy always running to try it. Which of course is not realistic in a real match to think you are gonna be hitting it like that. Then again they did add this ground counter hit duck hs, to big blue stuff in this beta.. so maybe they really do expect you to be doing a lot of random up in your junk duck hs shit.... Anyway...

I had to give Ky another test with the new Beta. I actually recorded and edited him first but opted to put Anji's out ahead of him. The potential ToD was nerfed by Stun Edge receiving less hitstun this time around. But overall Ky feels largely similar to the previous Beta. There are some elements of the game I think can be improved upon, but the developers have made it clear they don't intend to change them. Damage still feels too high overall and combos could stand to be a bit longer with a bit more routes available in my opinion, but the developers won't be implementing changes on those fronts it seems. The game is still enjoyable despite all this, mind you. I'm not one of those players who've damned the game at all haha. Music: -LUST SIN- Jin Kisaragi's Theme - BlazBlue OST

skd — Today at 11:39 AM Stun edge is even worse [11:39 AM] Its counter hit punishsble on HIT [11:39 AM] his frame data is garbage [11:40 AM] You can OS most everything in his gatling chains with little issue since the gat window timing in this game is so heavily restrictive [11:41 AM] The other thing you can do is delay dire eclait even more but then it starts getting messy with mash etc [11:44 AM] Especially against characters like sol it's miserable [11:44 AM] Funny how the two best characters have like amazing responses to his pressure [11:45 AM] I just didn't show foudre arc and stun edge cause they are so obviously punishable [11:46 AM] :v [11:48 AM] This has been a very funny experience [11:48 AM] A lot of people said things felt better with ky but if you look at the frame data he only got straight nerfs [11:49 AM] Losing 5f sacred edge sigh :( [11:50 AM] I hope final version has some frame data tune up, but its not likely [11:50 AM] He's been like this since closed beta, it's just that he had better reward / mixup to accommodate [11:51 AM] Now the neutral being more restrictive plays well into his kit and he's got something decent with air bd but [11:52 AM] Realistically his kit is so unsafe that youre actually just supposed to either not do anything without confirming or take the rps with delay eclait timing and pray they don't IB [11:53 AM] Because if they IB since the move is mostly pushback for safety and it all gets negated and he walks into you [11:53 AM] you eat cS from everybody wheeee [11:55 AM] You really should not be using 2k at that range unfortunately, you can do spaced 2k 2d eclait or 2k 6p eclait, try to confirm fd, since you can't be punished on fd by ram (you can by some other characters though lmao) [11:56 AM] If they don't fd you have to take the guess on heavily delayed eclait [11:57 AM] The issue in question is that all of the opponents pressure responses midscreen are fantastic since eclait reward is godly in the corner on CH but nowhere else(edited) [11:58 AM] Very low risk medium reward play in response to his kit(edited) [11:58 AM] Anyways yeah! Great Frosted — Today at 12:01 PM abandon ky, aquire ram(edited) skd — Today at 12:02 PM He's not unplayable in the context of the game just because of committal movement / throw damage but that's just so system oriented lmao [12:03 PM] Unfortunately you regularly overextend with him but this is not an issue with other characters NEW [12:04 PM] Some of them, at least, just general frame data is a lot better Message #ky-questions
