GGST Sol Round Start CH f.S Flowchart
So this is an example of how a match could go if Sol were to hit the opponent with a counter hit far S and hit his mixups, actualizing his single player gameplan. I realize applying this sort of flowchart concept outside of marvel 3 is a bit unusual, let alone with a strike throw based character like Sol, but in Guilty Gear Strive, I find these flowcharts to be more common with the majority of the cast. Huge shoutouts to Japanese Sol legend Uki for finding this fafnir BRC f-shiki with Sol! I will link the tweet where he showcases this tech below.
After some testing, I found that given the situation setup in this flowchart, either f-shiki conversion will hit and kill Axl, Faust, I-No, Ky, Millia, Ram, and Zato. The f-shiki conversions will hit but NOT kill Pot, Nago, Sol, or Anji. The counter hit far S combo used in the video does not work on Leo due to his weight, so I had trouble generating enough meter to BRC and setup the f-shiki on him without a third consecutive fafnir, which is bold to say the least. I would honestly prefer to use only one fafnir to generate enough meter to BRC, but this was the extent of my optimization at this point in time. The f-shiki j.P cannot hit Chipp, May, or Gio, so the mixup essentially doesn't work on them. Executing the f-shiki itself is surprisingly difficult, as you need to drift forward BRC on the first couple of frames that you are able to after a blocked fafnir. After which, you need to input the j.P immediately after sol becomes airborne to complete the high conversion. As I write this, I realized most characters can also mash out of the fafnir to fafnir blockstring too :p so there's that to consider as well.
I'm enjoying Daisuke's vision so far, and am excited to see where the community takes the game.
