The Beginner's Guide to Zato-1 [Guilty Gear STRIVE]
Zato-1 is one of the most fun, and most complicated characters in Guilty Gear Strive, but I'm here to help! If you're confused on how to play him, or how to fight him, then this is the video for you! We cover some advanced concepts in this video as well, but I want to go more in-depth on some of those advanced things in a future video, so stick around. In the grind trynna get better with Zato. Happy I was able to pull off the throw combo in a match (I know it's not much). Never tried it before and it just kinda happened from always practicing bnb/froggy loops T_T. #GGST #GGST_Zato #GuiltyGearStrive pic.twitter.com/khTvY3URNy— MagnumLVL (@themagnumLVL) July 4, 2021

#GGST_ZAダウン追い打ち多いすると、その後の崩しのコンボを変えないと駄目という一例。安くなりがち逆に近S張り合う投げが完全バー対になるという利点もhttps://t.co/GIVe7fuVva pic.twitter.com/3Rupd5RUgM— ヘッポコ (@Heppoko_gamer) July 4, 2021

#GGST_ZA not sure this is known, but if you PRC sun void (which only costs 50 meter if quick enough) while eddie is out, he will come back to neutral wherever he is on screen where the PRC happens. So you can make him levitate when canceling 236S in this fashion for instance. pic.twitter.com/OMcqRPGJSo— Kushi (@_kushi_chan) July 4, 2021

Any time you could go for double Frog loops, you can unsummon, instead, and reset pressure w/ Spikes. I would go for the unsummon if you were meter gain restricted (after Sun Void 2D Drill Pierce hits or after Damned Fang RRC) and the full loops into SV otherwise. #GGST #GGST_ZA pic.twitter.com/vfy9hckQkU— Mark Kirollos (@Mark_FGC) July 3, 2021

#GGST_MA S Dolphin is safe unless predicted. Repeated S Dolphin is not safe. It's a mistake & if you're getting away with it it's only because your opponent is inexperienced. Here's a particularly brutal example (credit to u/akhlore): https://t.co/g9DlBha8kP— Wizard needs coffee (@WizardExploded) June 16, 2021

I think holding [H] for safety will be a big part of Zato's gameplan. Some of his best strings have jump-able gaps, and rather than calling them out, he can hold down [H] (usually after 214[H] 4X, 236X, or 22[H]) to threaten Oppose on counter-attack. #GGST #GGST_ZA pic.twitter.com/GN8Dapg4Px— Mark Kirollos (@Mark_FGC) July 3, 2021
