It’s been 30 years since the release of @coldcutofficial “Journeys by DJ: 70 Minutes of Madness” mix! Coldcut pushed the boundaries of what a DJ mix could be by incorporating changes in tempo, spoken word samples, scratching and layering. The intricate production, which involved studio editing (using ADAT and early computer software), made the mix feel more like an album than a DJ set. It’s safe to say it has left a lasting impact on electronic and dance music culture.

Warum ich „Lux“ von Rosalía für hochpolitisch halte? Die 33-jährige ist ausgebildete Flamenco-Sängerin. Die Ursprünge des Flamenco liegen in Andalusien. Flamenco geht auf die Musik afrikanischer Sklaven, „gitanos“ (Sinti u Roma), sowie maurisch-arabische Einflüsse zurück.
