Bluesky is growing very quickly now, but there aren't any really great Bluesky clients for the desktop. Sure, we've pointed out a few third-party Bluesky clients, but none that can match the design of TweetBot. SkyBridge is a great tool that lets you log into Bluesky using any of the (excellent) Mastodon clients on the market. Here's how to use it.
Every Bluesky and Mastodon account offers an RSS feed. This means you can use any of the best RSS readers to follow posts from any specific user. This is an ideal solution if you mostly want to keep up with the posts of a couple people.
It looks like there is a crowd rush to jump from The Platform I will Only Ever Call Twitter to Bluesky. Huge numbers. Much because there is no learning curve. It looks and feels like Twitter not so…
Greetings 2024! I’d like to greet you with optimism and a story of gifts. You see, I ended 2023 with some grim posts (1, 2) and would like to balance those out with some of what cheers me up…

RSS fans!
You can follow any Mastodon account via RSS by just adding ".rss" to the end of the account's public profile URL.
To find a user's public profile URL, click on their profile image within Mastodon.
For example, if you click on FediTips' profile image you get this page in a new tab:
https://mstdn.social/@feditips
So, to follow FediTips through RSS, use this address:
https://mstdn.social/@feditips.rss
This will only show that account's public posts. Other posts will not be visible on the RSS feed.

How to Post to Mastodon From Anything Using IFTTT - K²R
I finally managed to hook up IFTTT to Mastodon to auto-post from another site! I use IFTTT as glue for linking several services together including sharing interesting links from Pocket when I’m offline: I can add a tag in the app on my tablet, and then when it syncs that tag up to the cloud, […]
This app helps you finds out which of the people you follow on Twitter are on Mastodon/in the Fediverse already and follow all of them easily.Try it: https://t.co/LitKPF11qH Keep checking it every few days to see if there are new people.— Robin DeRosa (@actualham) November 7, 2022
So how does Mastodon work: Its not one place. It's 'federated'. You pick a server to be on. That server by default will pull in some 'toots' (a silly word) from other servers it federates with into its timeline, and block some others. But YOU can follow anyone, on any server.— John Bull (@garius) November 5, 2022
I see several folks on here expressing confusion about how Mastodon works. As a relatively new lay user there, I thought I would share a few observations that help explain why I find that platform so rewarding:— Dr. Rajiv Jhangiani (@thatpsychprof) November 5, 2022
