The Silicon Valley Christians Who Want to Build ‘Heaven on Earth’
(What philosophy of technology frameworks would this group fit into? How would someone apply critical thinking to this article? What are the research questions around this article? How does it overlap AI? What changes to make problem-solving more effective? What is a good cause? What is a recourse? What are the artifacts? What is evil for each tech? Is this new theological methodology? Or political? Deontological? Lit review, e.g. Gladwell 2024 after Bostrom?)

(Now writings go through sentiment analysis. More nuanced than, for instance, philosophy, poetry, or horror. Perhaps moods create new genres. And styles become very personalized. To be emulated by machine.)
Joscha Bach on X: "Did you know that ancient Greek thinkers developed theories of representation that distinguish between sensory images (εικόνα, eikona), structured sensory data (εἴδωλον, eidolon), geometric shape (μορφή, morphe), graph (σχῆμα, schema), generative image (φάντασμα, fantasma),…" / X
Civic virtue is based on citizenship and the Constitution.
(Plenty of segments are not necessarily although still considered critical. Socialism favors the State. Large ideologies have rule of law or engagement. AI has been reborn under organizations, but has yet to make it back to academics. Cyber and space may be considered new sectors, but others like economics or health have faced similar issues Political parties may occupy any or all ethical positions. Philosophy may also be timeless, e.g. Plato's Purgatory.)
Joscha Bach on X: "We need to find a way to help these kids. They don't have the tools to get out of their current corner of the thought space, and many derive value from the social connection within the doomer scene (just as they did from techno optimist pre-doomer rationalism)" / X
Sam Bankman-Fried: 'I never thought what I was doing was illegal'
(This requires critics rather than crickets. The philosophies include other influencers. They now have to show how well prison reforms or progresses in the longer term. Ancient academics also had to tutor fellow slaves. The regulations will be interpreted by each of the major ideologies. AI may become one. If it had been a cartel mastermind, they might have built the prison ahead of time themselves to be more like clubs, e.g. Escobar. Crypto is successful now. The sovereignties are looking at digital schemes as well to streamline financial transactions and reporting, so they will run into similar issues. In another scenario, this might be a government official. Juries find facts, jurists the law. Ultimately this defines justice. The issues are going to have spinoff strategies for management going forward. STEM training was also called out in other patent cases. Where IEEE tries to keep talent occupied in their domain, something like equivalent of IEET may be useful here, at least for accurate analysis. Constitutions go after tyranny, whether by monarchy or majority. What is going on in these contemporary instances also involving machines? Is there a good reply for voir dire and equal treatment? What will be the effect, if any, on innovation?)
(What if the author followed the book by an interview by the characters, e.g. Firafix, Feodor, Tessius, Kelvin, et al? AI video is not far off and he did write the Sim Hypothesis back in the day. Tromcom?!)
John Danaher on X: "Some people have asked about my task management system: simple. On any given day, I work on the things I find interesting or am sufficiently motivated to do. I ignore all other tasks and hope for the best" / X
