According to the Western Journal of Emergency Medicine, the first case of rhabdomyolysis after eating certain types of fish was reported in 1924 in Europe. The journal says that Huff’s disease is defined as a disease in a person with “unexplained rhabdomyolysis who has eaten fish within 24 hours prior to the onset of symptoms.” …
