Elon Musk's DOGE staffers don't have access to U.S. nuclear secrets, Energy secretary says
Secretary of Energy Chris Wright said three DOGE staffers are working at the department.
“I’ve heard these rumors. They’re like seeing our nuclear secrets. None of that is true at all,”
“I know exactly who they are,” the secretary said. “They run through, checked by our security, and they have access to look around, talk to people and give us some good feedback on how things are going.”
He was granted access to basic IT systems such as email and Microsoft 365, one of the people told CNN.
Wright told CNBC that the staffers “don’t have anybody’s proprietary information.”
A DOGE staff member, Marko Elez, resigned Thursday after The Wall Street Journal connected the 25-year-old to a social media account that made racist posts. Elez had received approval from a federal judge earlier in the day to access the Treasury Department’s payment system, but the judge restricted his ability to share data from that system.

RAMBO: Leaking Secrets from Air-Gap Computers by Spelling Covert Radio Signals from Computer RAM
In this paper, we show how malware can manipulate RAM to generate radio signals at clock frequencies. These signals are modified and encoded in a particular encoding allowing them to be received from a distance away. The attacker can encode sensitive information (keylogging, documents, images, biometric information, etc.) and exfiltrate it via these radio signals. An attacker with appropriate hardware can receive the electromagnetic signals, demodulate and decode the data, and retrieve the exfiltrated information.

This is the Adafruit Feather RP2040 RFM69 Packet Radio (868 or 915 MHz). We call these RadioFruits, our take on an microcontroller with packet radio transceiver with built-in USB and battery charging. It's an Adafruit Feather RP2040 with a RFM69HCW 900MHz radio module cooked in! Great for making wireless networks that are more flexible than Bluetooth® LE and without the high power requirements of WiFi.

It's kinda like we took our RP2040 Feather and RFM69 900MHz breakout board and glued them together. You get all the pins for use on the Feather, the Lipoly battery support, USB C power / data, onboard NeoPixel, 8MB of FLASH for storing code and files, and then with the 8 unused pins, we wired up all the DIO pins on the RFM module. There's even room left over for a STEMMA QT connector an a uFL connector for connecting larger antennas.

This is the 900 MHz RFM69 packet radio version, which can be used for either 868MHz or 915MHz transmission/reception - the exact radio frequency is determined when you load the software since it can be tuned around dynamically. Despite calling it a 'packet' radio (and it does send packets of data) the RFM69 can also be used for non-packetized radio transmission and reception.
