タイガースは28日（日本時間29日）、ツインズからFAとなっていた前田健太投手と2年総額2400万ドル（約35億5000万円）で契約を結んだと発表した。契約内容は1年目の2024年が1400万ドル（約20億7000万円）、2025年が1000万ドル（約14億8000万円）。また、タイガース財団に2024年に7万ドル（約1040万円）、2025年に5万ドル（約740万円）を寄付する予定だという。
