Nathan Jones spoke to CharltonTV following an impressive 3-0 win against Chelsea U21s at The Valley on Tuesday evening. The Addicks secured qualification to the next stage of the Bristol Street Motors Trophy having previously won against Cambridge United.

Two goals from the head of Miles Leaburn helped the Addicks to a 2-0 win against Chelsea U21s, ensuring Nathan Jones’ side qualify to the round of 32 in the Bristol Street Motors Trophy with a game remaining. In a game where both sides played some neat football and created plenty of chances, the Addicks had goalkeeper Ashley Maynard-Brewer to thank for their clean sheet.

The 35-year-old had been without a club since being released by Northampton Town at the end of the 2023-24 season.

Hartlepool United have confirmed that Nathan Asiimwe has returned to Charlton Athletic following the expiration of his short-term loan deal.
