As the Girls Academy Lead Coach for the Under 12 team at Charlton Athletic Women Football Club, located at the Sparrows Lane Training Ground in South East London, you will play a crucial role in the development of young players and the success of the club. This role is a sessional contract on a casual basis, with flexible hours required to fulfill coaching duties, including matchdays and out of office hours coaching. Your responsibilities will include developing players to excel in the women's first team, attending all matches and training sessions, supporting Academy coaching and management staff in player recruitment, and implementing a training program aligned with Long Term Player Development (LTPD) guidelines. You will also be expected to support the England International development pathway and ensure high coaching standards are maintained across the team. To excel in this role, you must hold a minimum UEFA B Licence as a Youth Development Phase and Foundation Phase Lead coach, along with current certifications in FA DBS check, safeguarding, and first aid. Your ability to empathize with young players, inspire them, and build strong relationships with club staff will be essential. Experience in coaching and mentoring elite young players, creating optimal learning environments, and a commitment to long-term player development are key qualities we are looking for. This is a zero-hours, casual position that may require shifts on weekends and evenings, with negotiable hours. Applicants must be eligible to live and work in the UK.
