Nathan Jones shared his disappointment as the Addicks bowed out of the Vertu Trophy with a 2-0 defeat against Leyton Orient on Tuesday evening. It took until stoppage time for the visitors to break the deadlock, netting two goals in quick succession to prevail at The Valley in the round of 32.

Following a recent meeting of Charlton’s owners, Global Football Partners, Gavin Carter, has been appointed as the Non-Executive Chair of the Charlton Athletic board. Carter has been an independent, Non-Executive Director on the club’s board and investor since the takeover by Global Football Partners in July 2023. The roles of the rest of the board remain unchanged.
