Between 2022 and as of epidemiological week (EW) 52 of 2024, a total of 19 countries and territories in the Americas Region reported 4,388 animal outbreaks of H5N1 avian influenza to WOAH.A total of 71 human infections caused by avian influenza A(H5) have been reported in four countries in the Americas between 2022 and 17 January 2025.
