AI Adds a New Dimension to DEVONthink 4
DEVONthink is a difficult app to review because its flexibility means it can serve a wide variety of purposes. I’ve been using it for the past few weeks as an archive and research companion that houses thousands of plain text files, but the app is capable of effectively replacing your Mac’s file system, storing and

My Obsidian Generic Meeting Template
My Obsidian Generic Meeting Template
In many of my posts I share solutions to technical challenges I have come across. In this post there is certainly an element of that, but it is building on some earlier work and is perhaps more about sharing a real view of what I use day to day, as a way of providing a bit of insight or inspiration into how you may be able to employ something similar. Appointments in the Menu Bar

Review: Airmail, an exceedingly pretty but Gmail-centric alternative to Apple Mail | 9to5Mac
Review: Airmail, an exceedingly pretty but Gmail-centric alternative to Apple Mail | 9to5Mac
9to5Mac readers know a thing or two. When I reviewed Postbox, after explaining that I had lost patience with the flakiness of late of Apple Mail, several of the commentators recommended Airmail, a lightweight email client based on the popular but discontinued Sparrow app. It’s also the only alternative to Apple Mail and (of course) […]

WiFi Explorer — MacSparky
Lately I’ve been spending time troubleshooting the Sparks family WiFi. Specifically, I’ve been trying to tweak the placement of our various Wi-Fi paraphernalia so as to get a better signal in my daughter’s room in a far corner of the house. I needed a good diagnostic tool to give me an idea of how t
