A post on the Peachtree City Police Department Facebook page shows Sierra, 17, had to make an emergency landing on the Planterra Ridge Golf Course near the #11 tee box on June 29.

Sierra Lund knew she wanted to be a pilot from an early age. On June 29, she had just started her 150-mile solo flight for her pilot's license when the unthinkable happened—the plane's engine failed.
