Just found out today that badsite's search doesn't even search through an image's alt text! Whereas mastodon's does, even if it's only for my posts + posts I've starred. Accessibility is definitely the most important reason I do alt text for images but the ability to find an old image-centric post via its alt text is a feature I consider quite valuable! Absurd that the multi billion dollar corporation's service doesn't have it.
