Here's a proof of concept I've put together:@obsdmd Reminders integration powered by Shortcuts. Write down tasks in Obsidian as plain text, they turn into native reminders.Could run as an automaton. I can also support reminder deep-linking. Should I continue here? 😄 pic.twitter.com/dC4aq6s9fb— Federico Viticci (@viticci) October 20, 2021

In the past few years, after a summer of running and testing beta software, I often find it difficult to sit down and think about what is new. Don’t get me wrong: it’s not because there isn’t anything, but rather that it’s become second nature to the way I’m working with my systems. This is … Continue reading Drafts 28 →

My Obsidian Setup, Part 1: Sync, Core Plugins, Workspaces, and Other Settings
Last month, after a long beta period I’ve participated in for the past few months, the official Obsidian app for iPhone and iPad launched on the App Store. I’ve covered Obsidian and my approach to writing my annual iOS review in it on both AppStories and Connected; because I’m busy with that massive project and

Two Months with Apple’s New M1 iMac
Two Months with Apple’s New M1 iMac
The very first Mac I owned was an iMac. That white polycarbonate, first-gen Intel iMac was the epitome of a family computer, sitting in a central location where everyone in my family could use it for work, school, and projects. The new OCR and filesystem features of Shortcuts in iOS 15 are WILD. I created a shortcut that:- Extracts text from an image using OCR- Suggests some of that text as file name - Saves the image into a specific folder in the Files app (in my case, local storage)🤯 #WWDC21 pic.twitter.com/GQviSYSgeZ— Federico Viticci (@viticci) June 9, 2021

Ok, so I’ve been using Obsidian for months at work to take general meeting notes. It’s quite good for that, but no iPad/iPhone apps meant I couldn’t use it for my freelance work. Got access to the beta for iOS and DAMN this is more than I ever expected! It’s the full app 😳
