Mona is a brand new, highly customizable Mastodon client from Junyu Kuang, the developer of Spring, which is one of the few remaining third-party Twitter clients that still works and pioneered many of the features found in Mona. Mona, which is available on the iPhone, iPad, and Mac, is a power-user app through and through.

The Beta Blues, What's Wrong with Quick Assist & R.I.P. IE - Double Tap Canada
The DTC team is back with another hour of top tech talk but what exactly has got everyone so annoyed this week? After installing the beta version of the latest Mac OS, Steven seems to be suffering from the beta blues and is desperately trying to roll-back his Mac. But why is it we can't wait to put these beta versions on our devices even though we know that the software isn't ready yet? To maintain balance, Shaun is angry at Microsoft this week following his recent experience with Quick Assist. It appears that the latest version is only available through the Windows Store. But more than that, it seems that Windows 10 users will not be able to use the Quick Assist keyboard shortcut to launch the new version of this very useful app in the future, Windows 11 users will be allowed to but not Windows 10 users. Shaun is banging his head against the wall at the whole situation... Next, Marc tells us his thoughts on the post WWDC Talk Show hosted by John Gruber. It was a very relaxed discussion and could it

About three years ago, I wrote a piece on how to get system fonts in CSS. The San Francisco fonts had just been released and getting them onto a web page wasn’t obvious or easy. A recent tweet reminded me that I needed to update this information. In my original post, I proposed the idea […]

iPhone 13 Pro vs Pixel 6 Pro: 2000 Photos Later | Full Frame Ep. 5
When the iPhone 13 Pro launched earlier this fall, we said it had the “best camera” in a smartphone. But a few weeks later, Google’s Pixel 6 Pro, with its 50-megapixel sensor that is hard-coded to produce 12.5-megapixel images, was finally released, proving a worthy competitor for the iPhone 13 Pro’s 12-megapixel camera. To settle the score I took 1,000 photos with each device and realized using these cameras was about far more than their end products. iPhone 13 Pro gallery: https://adobe.ly/3mFzayJ Pixel 6 Pro gallery: https://adobe.ly/3qscBzQ 00:00 Intro 00:31 Camera Specs 01:09 Telephoto lenses 02:20 Ultra-wide lenses 04:05 Main lens 05:58 Hardware + Software 09:09 Google's Real Tone Feature 10:20 Video 11:46 Poll Results 12:49 Conclusion Subscribe: http://goo.gl/G5RXGs Like The Verge on Facebook: https://goo.gl/2P1aGc Follow on Twitter: https://goo.gl/XTWX61 Follow on Instagram: https://goo.gl/7ZeLvX The Vergecast Podcast: http://apple.co/3kH4uup Decoder with Nilay Pate‪l‬: http://apple.co/3v29nDc More about our podcasts: https://www.theverge.com/podcasts Read More: http://www.theverge.com Community guidelines: http://bit.ly/2D0hlAv Wallpapers from The Verge: https://bit.ly/2xQXYJr Subscribe to Verge Science on YouTube, a new home base for our explorations into the future of science: http://bit.ly/2FqJZMl

Let’s face it: these days, a lot of people do it not because Apple’s latest rectangular revision is genuinely transformative, but because it’s become a cultural trope. Like leaf-watching or trick-or-treating, “Apple picking” is just one of those things the well-to-do do when autumn rolls around in America. I didn’t used to be so jaded by this ritual of conspicuous consumption. For a few years there the general consensus was that the mobile world had plateaued, the days of crazy innovation well behind us. So who cared if people fritted away a part of their Friday waiting for what essentially was just the same phone with a better camera? That’s all most phones were. But, here’s the thing: that’s not where we are anymore. We now live in a world where I can live tweet my afternoon standing in the Apple Store line, with a phone that literally unfolds into a tablet — a device that really has changed the way I use a smartphone. It’s not about Samsung vs Apple; it’s about the future vs the past … and on years like this, it sure feels like Apple is on the light side of that particular see-saw. So when I bought the new iPhone to review it, I decided the best use of its improved cameras would be to film a train trip back up north – and back in time – to the place I lived for ten years; the place I started MrMobile; and the last place I waited in line for an iPhone.
