I am [still not in love][] with the name “Stage Manager” because it mixes metaphors and is easily confused with “[Center Stage][]”. My opinion is evidenced by the many [gaff…

Warp: A Simple, Keyboard-Driven Mac Utility for Saving Window Setups
One of the cornerstone features coming to macOS Ventura this fall is Stage Manager, which lets you create sets of multiple apps, decluttering your desktop without a lot of fiddling. In my limited use so far, I’m optimistic about Stage Manager’s future as a way to manage apps, but it’s not for everyone, which is

At this morning’s WWDC keynote presentation, SVP of Software Engineering Craig Federighi took the stage to announce the latest update to Apple’s desktop operating system: macOS Ventura. A user could tap a keyboard shortcut or visit a hot corner and Dashboard...

iOS and iPadOS are endlessly frustrating to me - Software - MPU Talk
Anything beyond simple media consumption or limited writing (like a text or an MPU post) are just too tedious, with too many “pokes at the screen” (as Jobs would say). Text selection Getting the Select | Select all | … thing to pop up, or not to pop up. Saving files. Using Share to, then Print then pinch/spread to create a PDF. It’s just tedious. It’s better with a keyboard and mouse connected, but then it’s a laptop. I have a laptop for laptopping. Maybe it’s just me.
