BY AND LARGE was originally a nautical expression, describing a ship’s course that alternates between heading into the wind (‘by’) and away from it (‘large’). In the sense of covering multiple directions, the phrase eventually came to be used to mean ‘generally’, or ‘as a whole’.

The goal should be to target working class conservatives bc tbh many are just mislead, and I’m not saying “rural” people are stupid, but we have a terrible education system and we all saw the fuckin literacy rates of US citizens. Most just need the veil lifted from their eyes!!
