Classic Car Chasers on Instagram: "Help Us Unwrap this Christmas Present 🎁 . . . Christmas came a little early at CCC this year. In today’s world of endless connectivity, seeing a classic we’ve never seen before is rare. Finding something we’ve never seen before that’s this cool is even rarer. While details are scarce, here’s a few things we do know. First, while it looks like it came out of Maranello or Turin it was reportedly designed by ex. GM employee William Molzon and his close friend and legendary Corvette designer Larry Shinoda. Second, it was intended to be the best of all worlds - offering better acceleration than a Corvette, the economy of a Corvair and the handling of a Lotus. As a result, it uses a fiberglass body with a tubular space frame. Last, it only has about 1k miles on it and is fully functional. That’s it. So Chasers, help us unwrap this year’s gift by commenting with any info or insights into this usual looking object. Even if you don’t know anything about it,...

British GQ on Instagram: "When GQ meets #CillianMurphy for his #GQAwards photos shoot, the shaved sides are still glistening. "It's a double-edged sword," he says. "It looks great for the character, but I'm stuck with it for four months. I'm just walking around as him, unwittingly." He can't escape; Tommy's got him. "He's got me, man! Even now, he won't let go. You stop going to the gym and you walk like a normal person again, but inevitably he's still got his claws in there." #PeakyBlinders (📸 @john_balsom) // Follow #GQ editor @dylanjonesgq"

Classic Car Chasers on Instagram: "Can you judge a Corvette by its cover? 🤔 . . . They say beauty is only skin deep and it’s what’s on the inside that counts. Well this car is a perfect example of that. If you can get past a front that looks an early Z and a back that looks like a 60’s firebird, we think you’ll find a rather charming one-of-a-kind car that deserves love like any other. Built as collaboration between Joel Rosen’s Motion Performance and nearby Baldwin Chevrolet, it is one of only 10 Phase III Corvettes built from 1969 through 1971, and it is distinguished by the early Shelby GT side scoops grafted onto the car’s B-pillars. The only time they appeared on a Baldwin Motion Corvette. Underneath the hood lies a brutish L71 427/435 HP engine with an Edelbrock intake and Holley 4-barrel. In addition to the L71, this car has a Muncie M21 manual transmission, factory side exhaust, tilt steering column and an AM/FM radio. In total 14 modifications were made to this car. So, you...

HOT ROD on Instagram: "An illustration of a smog-heavy, dystopian freeway accompanied an October 1984 #hotrodmagazine story with the headline, “Can They Outlaw Hot Rods?” Author Pat Ganahl laid out why hot rodders were nervous, but also reasoned that private car owners shouldn’t be the only ones held accountable for rising smog levels. Then (and current) Tech Editor Marlan Davis will touch on that in the comments section later, but we’re more interested in what you think of artist Barry Jackson’s visual interpretation. #whereitallbegan #smog #hotrod #horsepower #builtnotbought #since1948 #archive #vintage #art"
