Maybe the sign up form that Apple controls could show the annual cost of subscriptions. That would also hurt conversion rates for well-meaning apps, so maybe this is touchy, but if the sign up form showed this app costing $520/year that would make it more clear it's a scam.

Good news: Apple is working to restore old Shortcuts links. Statement: "We are aware of an issue where previously shared shortcuts are currently unavailable. Newly shared shortcuts are available, and we are working to restore previously shared shortcuts as quickly as possible.”
