@NeoYokel @gruber @TheSmokingTire Indeed, and we are so used to skip automated ads. Same on YouTube, I skip the served ad, but I tend to remember the "sponsor".
I've been using the term "digital bricolage" recently - and I seem to recall some kind of canonical web link (blog post?) about bricolage on the web.
Can't find it.
Ring any bells?
An honest response about how this ecosystem is made of air.
Also, compare this to decentralized tech like ActivityPub, where there wasn't a "missing middle" like this. It was decentralized and largely usable from day one. Oh, and there was "limited funding" early on there, too. https://t.co/sbZNtPeTuT
This is the thing when you promise "we're on the cusp" of whatever techno-revolution you're peddling. People will trust you're operating on good faith the first time.
Easy to throw that away forever, though -- at least for everyone but the true believers.
“The ads are part of the product”

⚠️ On some days we may miss making a journal entry. If that's the case, feel free to resume your regular schedule the next day.
⏩ Or you could just take a short pause during your day, reflect and then make a quick entry. There is no minimum word limit for journaling!
