WASHINGTON, Sept 14 (Reuters) – Democratic and Republican U.S. senators introduced legislation on Wednesday that would designate Russia as a state sponsor of terrorism, a label pushed for by Ukraine but opposed by President Joe Biden’s administration.
“The need for this measure is more pressing now than ever before,” Democratic Senator Richard Blumenthal, one of the bill’s sponsors, told a news conference, citing the killings of civilians and other “brutal, cruel oppression” in Ukraine since Russia’s invasion.
Republican Senator Lindsey Graham, another bill sponsor, said the designation would send a strong signal of support for Ukraine to Kyiv but also to U.S. allies, while imposing stiff penalties on Russia like allowing it to be sued in U.S. courts for its actions in Ukraine and tightening sanctions.

It was not immediately clear when or whether the measure might come up for a vote. But the two senators have been advocating for the designation for months, visiting Kyiv in July to promote it. read more
They have been joined by other lawmakers in voicing support for the idea. Democratic House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi said in July the designation was “long overdue.”
Biden has said he does not plan such a designation for Russia. Administration officials say they do not feel that the designation is the most effective way to hold Russia accountable and that it could hinder deliveries of humanitarian assistance to Ukraine.
Moscow has told Washington that diplomatic ties would be badly damaged and could even be broken off if Russia were added to the State Sponsor of Terrorism list, which currently includes Iran, North Korea, Cuba and Syria.
Blumenthal and Graham’s bill includes a provision that would allow a U.S. president to waive the designation for national security reasons after certifying to Congress that Russia is no longer supporting acts of international terrorism.

Rising Prices Lead To Bargain Hunting, Decreased Unit Sales – Food Business News https://dentoncountynewsonline.com/rising-prices-lead-to-bargain-hunting-decreased-unit-sales-food-business-news/
CHICAGO — The rising costs of goods continues to shape consumers’ decisions as they choose to eat in and spend less at the store, according to recent data from recently merged market research firms IRI/NPD.
Bargain hunting has become a favored consumer practice after store prices rose a total of 13.4% through the 52-week period ended on Aug. 28, with the butter/margarine/spreads category seeing the largest increase at 30%.
Between July 2022 and August 2022, prices increased 1.6%. Carbonated beverages and fresh fruit prices led the way, each rising 5.3%, IRI said.
“With inflation hitting 8.5% in July, it’s no surprise that consumers are trading down to lower-priced options and opting for more value,” said Krishnakumar Davey, president of thought leadership for IRI.
Food away-from-home costs have risen less than store costs since 2021, an increase of 7.6%, but eating out remains the most expensive option, costing nearly 3.5 times more.
Consumers have responded accordingly, leading to a 3% decline in foodservice traffic as of July 2022. When they do eat out, consumers are more likely to choose value options like quick-service restaurants.
“While the pandemic and recent inflationary pressures shifted demand, restaurants and foodservice outlets offering value, convenience and at-home indulgence are top of mind for consumers,” Mr. Davey said.
The increased prices have resulted in declining unit sales in most food and beverage products, according to other recent IRI data.
Dollar sales have grown, but this growth is a result of price increases, as overall retail food and beverage sales have decreased 4.5% in the past year and volume sales have declined 4% over the same period.
Volume decreases have been sharpest in categories with large price increases, including frozen dinners, cookies and coffee, which rose 18.6% over the past year.
“We’re seeing signs of consumer stress, particularly among low-income households,” Mr. Davey said. “Consumers are buying less in discretionary food and beverage categories, and are shopping more frequently in search of better prices.”
Mainstream and value brands have become consumers’ primary preference, focusing on quick trips to the store instead of stocking their pantries.
Recent data from a June 2022 consumer outlook survey suggests these costs will continue to remain at the forefront of consumers’ minds, ranking rising food prices as their No. 1 concern.

Kourtney Kardashian Is Really Into Eating Healthy, And Her Son Is Not A Happy Camper He Can’t Have McDonald’s Fries – CinemaBlend https://dentoncountynewsonline.com/kourtney-kardashian-is-really-into-eating-healthy-and-her-son-is-not-a-happy-camper-he-cant-have-mcdonalds-fries-cinemablend/

Kourtney Kardashian is obsessed with healthy living. So much so that The Kardashians star even has a health and wellness brand called Poosh, which offers products that help one live a healthy lifestyle like she does. In turn, Kardashian likes to instill clean eating habits in her children. However, kids will be kids, and Kardashian’s son, Mason, may not be as excited about the lifestyle, as he’s missing his McDonald’s fries.
In a recent interview with The Wall Street Journal, the reality TV star talked about her healthy lifestyle choices and how she’s received pushback from her children regarding some of the practices she enforces. Mason has apparently fought Kourtney Kardashian on some of the restrictions put in place and has asked for fast food instead. Kardashian recounts:
Today I was having my one-on-one time with my son [Mason] and he said, ‘Mom, I need McDonald’s french fries today, please. It’s been a year since I’ve had it.’ I was like, ‘Today’s not the day, sorry.’
Looks like the mom of three is laying down the law when it comes to smart eating choices. At least very least, one can appreciate that she practices what she preaches. The media personality is constantly promoting eating well on her Instagram, where she shares meals she and her new husband, Travis Barker, eat together. She tries to eat vegan most of the time and has gravitated towards gluten-free meals for two years. See one of her favorite dishes below:
(Image credit: Kourtney Kardashian Instagram Story)
She has even adapted some classic dishes to correspond with her vegan diet. Check out this next spread:
(Image credit: Kourtney Kardashian Instagram Story)
Kourtney isn’t afraid to get creative either, considering the unique snack down below:
(Image credit: Kourtney Kardashian Instagram Story)
I think it’s awesome that Kourtney Kardashian promotes choosing healthy options, and shows creative and tasty ways that one can make good choices, while also enjoying food. Clearly the limitations of a good diet don’t have to stop you from having some super yummy meals. However, I totally understand where Mason is coming from, sometimes you just want McDonald’s fries, and that’s okay, too. He isn’t the only member of the family who feels that way, either. Kim Kardashian’s daughter, North West, quipped earlier this year that the vegetables put out for Easter looked disgusting.
Aside from toting positive eating habits, Kourtney Kardashian’s lifestyle brand Poosh has promoted a variety of unique products that you may not associate with health. Famously, Poosh teamed up with Gwyneth Paltrow’s lifestyle brand, Goop, for a line of NSFW candles. I’m not sure how this contributes to a healthy lifestyle, but it’s worth giving a try! Kardashian is also a big proponent of sexual health, which she was incredibly open about. (That includes her attempts to deal with her fertility issues.)
If you want to see more of Kourtney Kardashian’s healthy food options, you can follow her on her Instagram. She will also be returning for Season 2 of the reality series The Kardashians, which premieres on September 22 and streams exclusively for Hulu subscribers. She will most likely be making many of her famous salads, and talking about her lavish wedding with Travis Barker. All of the drama should be very juicy, but I will personally be waiting for her to finally take Mason on a McDonald’s run.

Gadget Watch: Ginko Rotating Levitating Moon Lamp – Electronics Weekly https://dentoncountynewsonline.com/gadget-watch-ginko-rotating-levitating-moon-lamp-electronics-weekly/
It’s quite the desktop objet d’art. Not only is it eye-catching and strangely arresting but I like the way it seems to represent a detailed map of the Moon’s surface. Could we count it as educational? (And tax-deductible?…)
We’re in the realm of magnetic forces again – using a powerful built-in magnet, the moon is suspended and floats in mid-air. And you can interact with the spinning to slow it down or speed it up.
As you may expect, it doesn’t come cheap, being priced at 139 of his Majesty’s pounds. Note, however, that you would be supporting a UK business – the (award winning) family business is based in Kenilworth, Warwickshire.
The makers write:
“The sphere, with its textured surface imitating that of the moon, slowly rotates in the space above your choice of wooden base: walnut or white ash. Using a powerful built-in magnet, the moon is suspended and floats in mid-air, creating a stunning and functional piece of design.”
“By gently touching the base, you can choose from three different light modes; warm yellow, cool white or warm white, something to suit every taste.”
They also highlight the eco-friendly aspects of the lamp: it is made with safe and completely biodegradable PLA material and reclaimed wood.
Specification
Product Material: walnut, white ash, and black wood base with PLA 3D printed moon
Size of wood base: 120x120x30 mm
Moon Diameter size: 140mm
Product weight: 800g
Power input: 12V- 1A AC/DC adapter (included)
LED power: 1.5 watts only
Note that there are three modes of operation, in terms of Moon light colour temperature: warm white (3500k), white (5000k) and yellow warm (2700k). You touch the base to make the selection.
It comes in a premium gift box.
But enough of words, let’s get back to the turning. Check out the video below:

3 Big Things The Merge Will Change About Ethereum CoinDesk
3 Big Things The Merge Will Change About Ethereum – CoinDesk https://dentoncountynewsonline.com/3-big-things-the-merge-will-change-about-ethereum-coindesk/
David Z. Morris is CoinDesk’s Chief Insights Columnist. He holds Bitcoin, Ethereum, and small amounts of other crypto assets.
At press time, estimates are that Ethereum’s Merge, or the transition from proof-of-work to proof-of-stake-based transaction validation and settlement, will happen around 1 a.m. ET, or 5 a.m. UTC, on Sept. 15. It’s probably the most significant piece of crypto news since the collapse of Three Arrows Capital in June.
The Merge is, thankfully, much more positive. If you’re looking for a fundamental explainer or some last-second insights into how to trade the Merge, we’ve got you. But my job is the big picture, so here are the three most important things the Merge will change – and the one important thing it will not.
This article is excerpted from The Node, CoinDesk’s daily roundup of the most pivotal stories in blockchain and crypto news. You can subscribe to get the full newsletter here.
The most important thing the Merge WON’T accomplish is reducing transaction fees on Ethereum. It’s certainly what many users would have wished for, and lower fees may eventually be enabled by infrastructure changes made in the Merge. But it won’t happen immediately.
That means, above all, there’s still going to be a serious place in the crypto world for alternate layer 1 blockchains like Solana and Near, as well as for layer 2s like Optimism and Polygon, which save user’s fees by “rolling up” batches of transactions to post to Ethereum.
Somewhat ironically, Ethereum fees have actually jumped by around 25% to an average of over $3 per transaction since Tuesday, likely in part thanks to traders and holders repositioning for the Merge. Fees are still quite low historically, but if you’re reading this earlyish Wednesday take care of your moves soon because those fees are likely to rise further as the day goes on.
By removing computationally intensive proof-of-work mining from Ethereum, the Merge is expected to reduce the network’s overall energy consumption by more than 99%. For at least five years, the ecological impact of proof-of-work mining has been a major headwind for blockchain adoption in general, and the transition has at least two specific catalytic implications for Ethereum.
First, as a recent Bank of America report argued, some institutions or other investors who were reluctant or unable to invest in proof-of-work systems will now be free to stake Ethereum. That’s not necessarily going to be an instant sea change given the bear market but could have huge upside implications for crypto’s next bull cycle.
Second, and I think more important, the shift to proof-of-stake totally transforms the playing field for non-fungible tokens (NFT). As silly as things got during the last bull cycle, NFTs are one of the clearest cases of real, end-user product-market fit on Ethereum, and I’m extremely bullish on the concept long term.
But a lot of artists and consumers seem to have a general antipathy to blockchains tied up in environmental concerns. That’s not their only gripe, but removing that issue will be huge for the appeal of digital art on Ethereum in the long term.
Just three weeks before the expected date of the Merge, financial regulators at the U.S. Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) dropped a bomb on the crypto world with the sanctioning of the Ethereum-based Tornado Cash mixer. There remain a lot of unknown implications, but many developers and node operators decided they needed to protect themselves by unilaterally censoring transactions associated with Tornado Cash.
The Merge makes moments like this far more worrisome, for a variety of complex reasons. Proof-of-stake-based settlement is widely expected to concentrate more power in the hands of the biggest Ethereum stakers, including very public entities like Jump Trading.
These entities may, in turn, be more susceptible to pressure from entities like OFAC, which could lead to “base layer censorship,” or systemwide refusal to process transactions associated with entities sanctioned by governments.
This is a worst-case scenario and, hopefully, it won’t happen. But the fact that it’s possible, and would undermine the system neutrality that should be part of any blockchain’s core value proposition, is a real cause for long-term concern and vigilance.
The network state of ETHistan
Luckily, the fourth big consequence of the Merge is much more upbeat: It’s one of the first big examples of a globally coordinated network transition in crypto. Bitcoin has had its own drama around upgrades and forks, but never anything quite like the Merge.
While it’s true that Ethereum has a significant advantage given the leadership role of the Ethereum Foundation and co-creator Vitalik Buterin, it is still a huge, global ecosystem whose stakeholders have all had to stay on the same page through the complex process of the Merge.
It’s a tentative, partial example, but in this light the Merge looks a bit like Balaji Srinivasan’s concept of “the Network State.” Very broadly, Srinivasan believes that digital communities, some organized around blockchains, will begin to mimic some of the features of the offline governance units we think of as “nations” now.
Bitcoin already has many features of a network state, but Ethereum’s much richer technological underpinnings may form a more fitting foundation for the many complex potentials of a network state. The Merge, assuming it’s successful, could be seen as a moment of “national unity” for Ethereans, strengthening the community as much as anything technological.
Of course, not everyone has gotten on board with the Merge, particularly a few folks trying to keep proof-of-work Ethereum going. Frankly, it’s hard to see that effort as anything but a short con intended to fleece the naïve, but even if it were sincere it’s arguably the exception that proves the rule. You can’t have a nation, after all, without a few dissenters.
At the risk of overstating the case, from this perspective the Merge could be an important display of unity and power by the Ethereum “nation.” That may be particularly important for some of the looming fights around base-layer censorship and the regulation of utility-focused tokens.
As with most things Merge, it’s less about what happens in the darkness tonight than about what will be possible tomorrow morning.

US Department Of Labor Recovers $269K In Back Wages Damages For Live-In Caregivers Whose Ontario Employer Denied Them Overtime US Department Of Labor
US Department Of Labor Recovers $269K In Back Wages, Damages For Live-In Caregivers, Whose Ontario Employer Denied Them Overtime – US Department Of Labor https://dentoncountynewsonline.com/us-department-of-labor-recovers-269k-in-back-wages-damages-for-live-in-caregivers-whose-ontario-employer-denied-them-overtime-us-department-of-labor/
ONTARIO, CA – A federal investigation has found the operator of four Southern California residential care homes failed to pay overtime wages to four live-in caregivers who worked as many as 16-hours a day, seven days a week, and recovered a total of $269,104 in back wages and liquidated damages for them.
The U.S. Department of Labor Wage and Hour Division determined LMB Care Home LLC paid four caregivers straight-time rates for hours over 40 in a workweek, in violation of Fair Labor Standards Act overtime rules. The Ontario-based employer also failed to maintain accurate records of employees, resulting in additional recordkeeping violations.
“Too often, we find that healthcare industry workers are harmed by wage theft and denied all of their hard-earned wages,” said Assistant District Director Skarleth Kozlo in West Covina, California. “Federal law safeguards the rights of these essential workers, and the Wage and Hour Division remains vigilant in their enforcement of those rights. The outcome in this case should serve to remind healthcare employers of the costly consequences they may face when shortchanging their employees.”
The investigation included four LMB Care Home locations, at 1125 W. J St. and 1813 N. Calaveras Ave. in Ontario, at 1316 N. San Antonio Ave. in Upland, and at 11262 Sun Haven Way in Riverside. The division recovered $134,552 in overtime back wages and $134,552 in liquidated damages for the affected workers.
In fiscal year 2021, the division recovered $13.8 million in back wages for more than 17,000 workers in the healthcare industry, known for both low wages and high rates of violations.

Employers and workers can call the division confidentially with questions regardless of where they are from. The department can speak with callers confidentially in more than 200 languages through the agency’s toll-free helpline at 866-4US-WAGE (487-9243). UEFA Champions League picks for Salzburg vs. Chelsea
Before you tune in to Wednesday’s match, you need to see the UEFA Champions League picks from SportsLine’s soccer insider Martin Green. After working in the sports betting industry for several years, Green became a professional sports writer and handicapper and has covered the game worldwide. Since then, his European soccer picks have been spot-on. Green has generated almost $33,000 for $100 bettors since the 2017-18 season, and he has his finger on the pulse of the game all over the globe.
For Chelsea vs. Salzburg, Green is backing both teams to score for a -130 payout. It’s been an ugly start to the season for Chelsea, who now have two wins, three losses and a draw in their last six matches across all competition. Last year’s third-place finishers in the Premier League are currently sixth in the table, but five points back of first-place Arsenal and have a negative goal differential.
Graham Potter now steps in after Tuchel was sacked and the former Brighton & Hove Albion manager will hope to quickly turn the season around for one of the most prestigious clubs in the world. Despite Chelsea’s issues at striker, this is a side with plenty of attacking prowess and Potter will undoubtedly urge his side to dominate possession and create chances going forward.
However, Salzburg has scored in every match it has played this season and has managed multiple goals in seven of their nine matches in 2022-23. Expect the Austrian side to apply pressure on the counter and for both squads to find the back of the net on Wednesday.

The Flash Prequel Comic Reveals Batman Gifting Barrys Iconic Ring MovieWeb
The Flash Prequel Comic Reveals Batman Gifting Barry’s Iconic Ring – MovieWeb https://dentoncountynewsonline.com/the-flash-prequel-comic-reveals-batman-gifting-barrys-iconic-ring-movieweb/
The Flash will be released next year, unraveling a multiversal event that will change the DC Extended Universe from the core. The film will feature Barry altering timelines in his attempt to stop his mum’s murder. The Flash will feature a different variation of the scarlet speedster, donning the new suit and teaming up with Michael Keaton’s Batman to face an unprecedented threat. From what the teaser revealed, it’s easily visible that the speedster has upgraded and learned new things since his team-up with Justice League.
After several shake-ups in the DCEU timeline of events, it was unclear how The Flash would treat the franchise’s predecessor films. But, now it’s clear that The Flash will directly connect to Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League. This means the movie would be part of the existing DCEU timeline until Barry breaks it into branches.
In a recently unveiled excerpt page from DC Comics’ Flash: The Fastest Man Alive #1 (via Bleeding Cool), it’s revealed that Barry had taken training for his skills under the tutelage of Bruce Wayne/Batman.
The illustration reveals that Bruce helped Barry upgrade his suit and designed the iconic ring from The Flash comics, which carried the speedster’s suit. The image also features Batman, created exactly after Ben Affleck’s version of the caped crusader. Even Barry here seems to have the same suit on as the one he wore in Zack Snyder’s movies. Flash: The Fastest Man Alive will seemingly bridge the gap between Justice League and The Flash and explore how Barry came under Bruce’s wing. The illustration further strengthens the ground for Ben Affleck’s return as DCEU’s Batman. The actor has a supporting role in The Flash movie, which the prequel comic will provide the base for.
Batman and Flash seemingly made a tutor-mentor bond in the previous films as Barry took Bruce in awe of his gadgets and his work as Gotham’s vigilante. And Batman knowing that Barry’s growth as a superhero is essential for the impending threat (Darkseid, teased in Justice League while featured in Snyder Cut), has probably taken to teach him skills he needs to fight his enemies.
Flash: The Fastest Man Alive #1 is now out. It is penned by Kenny Porter and illustrated by Ricardo Lopez Ortiz, along with collaborations from director Andy Muschietti, who has helmed The Flash movie. The prequel comic not only offers a glimpse at Batman and Flash’s relationship but significantly fills the gaps in the confusing timeline of DCEU events.
The Flash and Batman Take on Girder in the Prequel Comic
In the comic, Barry seeks Batman’s help in defeating the new threat to the central city -Girder. Girder is a supervillain from DC Comics who was an antagonist to Wally West’s version of the Flash. Girder is the alias of Tony Woodward, a steelworker who was thrown into a vat of molten steel by his coworkers for assaulting a female colleague. The vat turns Woodard into a living metal with unbeatable strength and starts going by the name of Girder.
Amidst the vague status of The Flash film, the prequel comic may be a sign of the fact that The Flash is still in the pipeline. It would be interesting to bridge the story between two previous films featuring Barry and the new DCEU’ rewrite’. The Flash has been in a lot of trouble lately, and there is an ongoing debate about having two Batman versions in the franchise. For a while, the prequel comic will give some clarification to both.
The comic book series synopsis reads:
Race through the streets of Central City in this lead-up to the hotly anticipated blockbuster The Flash! After Barry’s adventure with the Justice League, he’s determined to become a truly skilled and inspirational hero. As a new threat emerges in Central City going by the name of Girder, Barry turns to Batman for advice on training to master his powers. Can the Dark Knight help show the Scarlet Speedster a way to defeat this metallic menace, or will the Flash be crushed by Girder’s strength?
The first of the three issues of the series went out for sale on September 13, 2022.
Crypto Prices Are Dropping Hard How Low Will They Go? Business 2 Community
Crypto Prices Are Dropping Hard – How Low Will They Go? – Business 2 Community https://dentoncountynewsonline.com/crypto-prices-are-dropping-hard-how-low-will-they-go-business-2-community/
After concluding last year on a high note, the cryptocurrency market has been plagued by multiple bear runs and the crash of crypto prices. Popular cryptocurrencies, like Bitcoin and Ethereum, have since lost half of their all-time highs, with other altcoins losing even more.
In true cryptocurrency fashion, the market has shown tenacity in its quest to reclaim its former glory. Bitcoin, the most important cryptocurrency, has recovered to strong support levels after falling from $20,000 to $18,649. Not to be outdone, the proof-of-work (PoW) coin recovered and reached a new high of $24,500. Bitcoin is currently trading at the lower rungs of $20,190, with more bearish developments on the horizon.
Is there any hope, or should we expect more drops in crypto prices across the board?
Macroeconomic Impacts on Tap
The Bitcoin network was conceived to be a stand-alone contrarian financial instrument, but it has interacted with existing market influences in the last half-decade. Given the global pandemic, inflation figures have continued to rise, with several investors viewing Bitcoin as a hedge against further fiat devaluation.
However, real-world events have sapped the popular digital asset’s bullish momentum. This started with Russia’s invasion of Ukraine; because oil and gas are no longer transported across Europe due to sanctions, the nexus of this unprompted war led to rising energy prices. Inflation became even more powerful after the United States reported higher-than-expected inflation rates.
This trend continued last week, with the US Consumer Price Index (CPI) data failing to cheer investors. According to newly released data, the CPI rate increased by 8.3% over the previous year. As the world grappled with the effects of Covid-19, the drivers for this 12-month index increase included increases in food, shelter, and medical costs.
The spiralling effect has begun to hit major trading floors, with Nasdaq Composite Index futures dropping 3.6% in 30 minutes after the report was released. Bitcoin lost its positive outlook and fell from $22,000 to 21,150 in 24 hours, a 5% drop.
Other crypto prices have not escaped the current bearish trend. Ether, whose parent network is planning a proof-of-stake (PoS) transition, has struggled in the $1,500 price range. The decentralized network token has fallen 8.5% from its three-day high of $1,800 to a current value of less than $1,490.
As the crypto market navigates its way around the larger macroeconomic spotlights, all signs point to a sustained bearish run.
Not All Is Gloomy in Crypto Land
A popular axiom states that every cloud has a silver lining, which is true in the emerging financial industry. Top dogs like Bitcoin and Ether are fading, but a few of the best altcoins are leading the charge for a possible bullish resurgence.
Tamadoge, a non-fungible token (NFT) project, is one well-known name. The platform is a hybrid of a non-fungible token (NFT), a meme coin, and a play-to-earn (P2E) metaverse game. The game features digital pets, essentially NFTs, and players can breed, collect, battle, and trade these digital virtual dogs for TAMA, the game’s native token.
Tamadoges are born like babies and are eventually groomed by players to become adults. Owners can then use them in battles against other virtual pets, with the winning party receiving Dogepoints. These points can be redeemed for TAMA in the monthly Dogepool.
The metaverse functionality is even more impressive, allowing users to interact, connect, and explore the TamaVerse virtual reality space.
A Meme Coin and More
Meme coins have seen the most significant gains during the crypto renaissance. In 2021, some of the best meme coins like Dogecoin and Shiba Inu saw their values skyrocket by 15,000% and 21,000%, respectively. These digital joke assets, designed to show the lighter side of virtual currencies, have evolved into a more investor-friendly way to enter the blockchain economy.
Tamadoge also contributes to the narrative by drawing inspiration from Dogecoin. However, it is more useful because it doubles as NFTs while incorporating gamified components. Tamadoge has also shown much promise if the presale event is any indication. So far, the platform has raised more than $15.5 million of the $16 million target in presale efforts, a month earlier than expected. As more investors pile into the exciting crypto asset, the meme coin-NFT viz metaverse project has generated a lot of buzzes.
After Presale, What Next?
Tamadoge has a lot of surprises in store for investors. According to the platform’s roadmap, it intends to launch on major centralized exchanges while opening an NFT Pet Store in Q4 2022. The year 2023 is expected to be even more exciting. According to the team, this would involve expanding the P2E Arcade game while collaborating with established brands in its niche.

NEW YORK/LONDON, Sept 14 (Reuters) – The yen was up more than 1% against the dollar on Wednesday after the Bank of Japan conducted a rate check in possible preparation for currency intervention, with the Japanese currency strengthening more in the wake of U.S. producer prices data.
In a rate check, central bank officials call up dealers and ask for the price of buying or selling yen. However, actually intervening to support the currency would be a larger step.
Japanese Finance Minister Shunichi Suzuki told reporters on Wednesday that recent yen moves have been “rapid and one-sided”, adding that yen-buying currency intervention was among the government’s options should such moves continue. read more

“Most market participants are on pins and needles awaiting whether or not we’re going to get any sort of intervention from the ministry of finance in Japan,” said Bipan Rai, North American head of FX strategy at CIBC Capital Markets in Toronto.
“It’s one of those things where we’ve seen comments so many times about the fact that they’re watching and monitoring the yen. The fact that they did a rate check overnight kind of indicates we’re in greater proximity toward intervention. But just intervention by itself we don’t think is going to be all that successful outside of an immediate knee-jerk reaction.”
The recent sharp gains in the dollar versus the yen have been tied to the hawkish stance from the Federal Reserve in raising interest rates to control inflation. The dollar hit a 24-year peak against the yen last week.
The dollar fell 1% against the yen right after news of the rate check. Nikkei website reported the rate check, citing unidentified sources, and Reuters later confirmed it with a market source. The dollar was last down 1.4% at 142.67 yen, hitting a session low of 142.6 in the wake of the PPI data. read more
The dollar index, which tracks the currency against six main peers , was down 0.3% on Wednesday at 109.55, a day after registering its largest daily percentage gain since March 2020 on an unexpected rise in the U.S. consumer price index (CPI).
On Wednesday, data showed producer prices fell for second straight month in August, while it also showed underlying producer inflation rising moderately last month. read more
Financial markets now have fully priced in an interest rate hike of at least 75 basis points at the conclusion of the Fed’s policy meeting next week, according to the CME’s Fedwatch tool.
As inflation is a small concern in Japan, authorities are keeping yields on Japanese government bonds pinned down to help with the economic recovery.
In contrast, the two-year U.S. Treasury yield, a bellwether for interest rate expectations, rose another 3.2 basis points to 3.788% after jumping 18.5 bps on Tuesday following the consumer price data.
The euro was up 0.1% against the dollar at $0.9979.

They also unanimously approved a tax rate of 30 cents (25.5 cents for general fund and 4.5 cents for road and bridge) per $100 value. The tax rate is 4 cents lower than the current rate of 34 cents. The proposed tax rate off the $11.2 billion tax roll will produce $28.1 million for the general fund and $4.9 million for road and bridge. Wise County added $334 million in new construction. With the rise in values, the county will receive an additional $2.85 million off property taxes of homes previously on the tax roll. With the average homestead value in Wise County at $205,420, the average tax bill will be $616.26. “For a growing county, we were able to drop the rate 4 cents and not a lot entities are able to do that and meet the demands of growth,” said County Judge J.D. Clark. “We have to provide services and keep people safe. This budget reflects what we’ve heard from the community and addresses public safety and the roads.” Read more in the Wednesday Wise County Messenger on newsstands and online at WCMessenger.com today.

La Gloria is a caramel cake with pecans, dulce de leche filling, and salted caramel frosting dusted with cinnamon sugar. The Pumpkin cupcake has flavors of ginger, clove, nutmeg, and cinnamon topped with cinnamon cream cheese frosting. The Pumpkin Spice Latte is a pumpkin cake filled with marshmallow cream and topped with Cuban coffee frosting. Lastly, the Salted Chocolate Caramel features a caramel cake filled with ganache, topped with dark chocolate frosting, and finished with dulce de leche drizzle and fleur de sel.“

Hyundai VENUE N Line Makes Its High Impact Debut In Metaverse Adgully
Hyundai VENUE N Line Makes Its High Impact Debut In Metaverse – Adgully https://dentoncountynewsonline.com/hyundai-venue-n-line-makes-its-high-impact-debut-in-metaverse-adgully/
Being on the forefront of technology and going by the credo of ensuring an exceptional experience to its consumers and prospects Hyundai Motor India launched the Hyundai Venue N Line – a sporty version of its hot selling compact SUV in the metaverse. The entire interactive module built on the Roblox platform was conceptualised by Innocean Worldwide India along with expert inputs from the specialist Metaverse team at their Seoul HQ.
Anushina Rajesh, Vice President, INNOCEAN says “When we first received the brief, we knew we had to make this a big one. Therefore, a digital-first strategy was adopted to use Metaverse for the first time to launch a Hyundai car. The brand’s tagline ‘It’s time to play.’ is in sync with virtual environment where people get the opportunity to experience the car. An intense amount of planning and collaboration with international partners went into the success of the entire exercise.”
The teaser showcases VENUE N Line being driven in Hyundai Mobility Adventure, at Hyundai’s owned space on Roblox. This space consists of multiple attractions developed specially for the VENUE N Line launch, such as the Event Square, N Line Zone, Racetrack & India Zone.
Shiveshwar R. Singh, National Creative Head, INNOCEAN India describing the creative challenge says, “It was a challenging exercise to position the product in such a futuristic way, keeping the brand authenticity intact. Metaverse surely brings new possibilities in the creative space and will play a huge role in making future product launches more interactive just as this one. It will integrate brand truths with gaming possibilities like never before.”
All the attractions offer something unique that highlight the metaverse experience and truly align with the brand ethos. The space has also deployed an interactive NPC of Mr. Tarun Garg, Director Sales, Marketing & Service, who greets all the players entering the metaverse. The N Line zone features the ability to view every aspect of the interiors and exteriors of the VENUE N Line in an interactive and exciting way that only adds to the wow factor. Making this experience available across platforms was key to ensure maximum participation. The Venue N Line experience on Metaverse went life on 6th September 202 at 12 noon.
Ronit Chudasma who led the Metaverse project from the Digital Team at Innocean says, “ From the word go we had a fully interactive Metaverse experience as our deliverable unlike other car brands who had tried a symbolic presence . The Venue N Line presence in the Hyundai Mobility Adventure space incorporates the ability to view the interiors, interact with non-playable characters, create a one-of-a-kind virtual environment that enables a user to experience the power and agility of the car.”
To promote this unique experience among the youthful audience and gamers over and above the usual digital promotional channels, Innocean worked out a collaboration with gamers with a proven social following who streamed this experience to their followers. This gave a large organic boost to the reach of Hyundai Venue N Line. The same is borne out by the numbers. In the opening hours of going live the Venue N Line had 22,600 visitors on meta verse. The brand is currently way ahead of its targeted daily numbers of 15000 visitors and steadily climbing upwards.
Shargeek Storm2 Slim Power Bank Review Its Fast Its Small Its Clear! The Gadgeteer
Shargeek Storm2 Slim Power Bank Review – It’s Fast, It’s Small, It’s … Clear! – The Gadgeteer https://dentoncountynewsonline.com/shargeek-storm2-slim-power-bank-review-its-fast-its-small-its-clear-the-gadgeteer/

REVIEW – How the new Shargeek Storm2 Slim power bank compare to a wall outlet with USB ports? Let me explain. Recently, I replaced two outlets with ones that had built-in USB ports. My thinking was that I could use these outlets to charge my devices without needing an adapter. While the thinking was correct, I didn’t realize how underpowered these wall USB ports can be. It takes seemingly forever to charge anything—especially if I’m in a hurry.
That’s where portable charging devices come in handy. I discovered that I can (slowly) charge a portable power bank like this Storm2 Slim and use that for my quick charging. Then I just return it to the outlet for charging while not in use. It seemed like a good plan. Was it?
What is it?
The Shargeek Storm2 Slim is a slimmer version of the (slightly) more powerful and slightly more expensive Storm power bank. The Storm2 Slim is thinner and easier to carry around. It has both a single USB A and USB-C ports (vs the Storm’s 2 USB-C, USB A, and DC ports). No matter—the lighter Storm2 Slim’s form factor makes up for it.
The Shargeek Storm2 Slim power bank comes in a transparent case that shows off all the electronic guts consisting of a long and narrow circuit board attached to four lithium-ion (Li-Ion) batteries. A small IPS informational screen sits along the side, next to a single white multifunction on/off button that navigates the screen while showing all the info you would ever want—even if the type is too tiny for my eyes.
A canvas bag and a yellow USB-C cable are the only accessories offered.
Specs
20000mAh capacity
Input: USB-C (65W Max)
Output: USB-A (30W Max), USB-C (100W Max)
Transparent PC material case
Sandblasted aluminum end caps
Small IPS informational screen
Airline safe
Design and features
First, this is one cool-looking charger. It would be nice even if it came in black, but this transparent case just looks way better. It’s the kind of gadget that will grab people’s attention.
It’s a comfortable size for holding and carrying. The plastic exterior is slick but still grips easily. Previously, I’ve used all-aluminum power banks that always felt slippery and didn’t provide a lot of confidence when holding.
Four lavender-colored Li-Ion batteries sit next to a slim circuit board that houses the two USB ports, IPS screen, and on/off button. It’s a simple, yet functional layout—until you try to read the Shargeek Storm2 Slim power bank’s built-in screen.
Maybe I’m old, but the text on the IPS screen is small, as in T I N Y. I usually need to use a magnifying glass to read the text. It’s a shame because there’s so much useful information packed into the micro-screen. If only I was 20 again …
Shargeek calls the displayed info EMOS (Energy Management OS 1.0). The screen shows two “levels” of information accessible by either long or short pressing of the on/off button. The first level has five information groups all showing on one full-color screen:
Port status – Tells you which port is connected
Input status – Displays input info, such as charging voltage, charging current, and charging port.
Output status – Displays output voltage, current, and the output power of a specific port.
Battery information – Shows current battery life, battery voltage, and current. The icon can be seen in 4 color percentages of life left in the battery.
System status – Battery, circuit board temperature, and system running time are displayed.
The second level changes to a one-color screen that displays 7 separate items:
Output parameters
Battery Pack info
Configure temp info
Reset system run time
Display settings
Power off
Exit (return to top-level)
Still with me? This is just an overview. It can be a bit confusing, but the info is there for those who want to access it. You can easily spend 30+ minutes perusing all the info shown on the screen.
Connecting the Shargeek Storm2 Slim power bank to any gadget is the same as any other charger. The Slim is small and light enough to throw into a backpack and forget it’s there—until you have to charge a device.
The Storm2 Slim’s large 20,000mAh capacity can charge a smartphone up to 4 times, a laptop or tablet up to 1.5 times, and DSLR camera up to 12 times. It takes 90 minutes to be fully recharged. Those aren’t life-changing numbers, but it’s enough to get you through a full day should you need that extra oomph—and look good, too!
What I like
Transparent case
Lots of info on the built-in screen
Large capacity for its size
Lightweight enough for carrying
What I’d change
Text on screen is tiny
Learning curve to navigate levels of info
The transparent case will show scratches
Final Thoughts
The Shargeek Storm2 Slim is a handy and useful power bank. The included canvas pouch offers good protection and its strap makes carrying easy. The USB-C cable length is more-than-adequate for any charging situation. It’s one of the more useful power banks I’ve come across. Solid construction should bring years of dependable use. Now, where’s my magnifying glass?

Crypto News: Big Eyes Is The Best Meme Coin Alternative To Shiba Inu NewsBTC
Crypto News: Big Eyes Is The Best Meme Coin Alternative To Shiba Inu – NewsBTC https://dentoncountynewsonline.com/crypto-news-big-eyes-is-the-best-meme-coin-alternative-to-shiba-inu-newsbtc/
One of the most intriguing innovations in the cryptocurrency market is the emergence of meme currencies. Meme currencies have captured our interest due to their potential to elicit excitement and a sense of community. Shiba Inu (SHIB) is the second most successful meme coin, especially among dog-themed coins. It has made its investors millionaires and repeatedly taken over the internet while focusing on retaining its dedicated fans.
Big Eyes (BIG), which is currently on presale, has had an exceptional start as opposed to most meme coins especially as it has broadened the buzz of meme currencies to the point of establishing real-world value. This article will teach you everything you need to know about Big Eyes (BIG).
Shiba Inu (SHIB) Stable, Safe & Well Established
SHIB is an ERC-20 token based on Ethereum, which was chosen above other platforms because it is already stable, safe, and well-established, and it allows for true decentralization. The original Japanese dog breed used by Dogecoin as its coin symbol is the Shiba Inu. To continue the trend of dog meme cryptocurrencies, an unknown person or group called Ryoshi launched a token named after the dog in 2020. Following a significant increase in value in 2021, it officially became Dogecoin’s adversary, trailing Floki Inu, Akita Inu, and Dogelon Mars.
Shiba Inu (SHIB) has surged consistently throughout its brief history before plummeting almost as quickly. Rather than focusing on price increases and worrying about missing out, it’s critical to understand what you’re purchasing and why it may or may not increase in value. Most cryptocurrencies aren’t backed by the assets or cash flow of an underlying firm.
Shiba Inu (SHIB) is one of the cryptocurrencies with a greater percentage of whales – large cryptocurrency holders – who are expected to have a significant impact on SHIB’s recent revival. According to recent cryptocurrency news, Ethereum whales increased their holdings in Shiba Inu (SHIB) by more than 580%, boosting Dogecoin’s competitor to second place from seventh.
Shiba Inu’s popularity has skyrocketed as a result of its competition with Dogecoin. The fact that it is an ERC-20 token with intentions to migrate to a proof-of-stake mechanism sets it apart from other meme coins. Holders of ShibaSwap, on the other hand, can exchange their cryptos for larger profits, akin to a savings account. A weighted pool pair is part of the curve’s financial ecosystem. It also plans to incorporate critical DeFi protocols into the Shiba Inu (SHIB) ecosystem, which will necessitate the usage of a solid bridge.
Big Eyes (BIG) The New Meme Token
Big Eyes (BIG) is a new meme token that aims to transfer revenue from monopolized industries into the DeFi ecosystem. Big Eyes (BIG) aspires to make its cryptocurrency a wealth generator for its users and charity endeavors by creating a blockchain ecosystem around its growing community.
The mascot of this meme currency is an anime-style cat with bulging pupils, which differs from the regular meme coins. Because many meme coins identify themselves with dogs, the token has an advantage over its competitors. Big Eyes made this strategic decision because its creator saw the cat environment as a “billion-dollar industry” that could be capitalized on by focusing on the “cute” market.
Big Eyes (BIG) seeks to capitalize on the increasing importance of NFTs in the crypto sector. Big Eyes plans to include an NFT collection in its top ten efforts, with NFT events taking place all year. If you get a Big Eyes NFT, you will be able to join the Big Eyes Sushi Crew.
Big Eyes (BIG) offers a completely decentralized environment in which members of the community can conduct all types of transactions (buying and selling) at ultra-fast rates with no transaction fees. Only during NFT transactions will consumers be forced to pay taxes (buying or selling). Finally, the cutting-edge development team is developing groundbreaking marketing tactics to increase the meme coin’s appeal, acceptability, and adoption.
Non-fungible tokens (NFTs) will be promoted through the ‘wear the stare’ program, which will feature both digital and physical art used to expand the buzz around Big Eyes Coin (BIG). This can also lead to network fundraising and ocean support; yes, Big Eyes Coin (BIG) is environmentally beneficial!
Big Eyes (BIG) is more than just a cute cryptocurrency platform that brings additional aesthetics to the cryptocurrency market. Like Shiba Inu (SHIB), it is created with features and values that ensure it has an impact on the crypto market. So you want to buy a lot of tokens and make a lot of money in the long run.

LUXEMBOURG, Sept 14 (Reuters) – Google’s (GOOGL.O) court defeat on Wednesday is set to strengthen EU antitrust regulators’ hand against Big Tech as they roll out landmark rules next year to rein in their powers and force them to play fair with rivals. read more
Critics and rivals of Alphabet unit Google, Amazon (AMZN.O), Apple (AAPL.O) and Meta (META.O) fear the deep-pocketed tech giants may challenge the new rules known as the Digital Markets Act (DMA) in court, tying up regulators and jamming the process.
The DMA sets out a list of dos and don’ts for gatekeepers, companies that control data and access to their platforms, targeting U.S. tech giants’ core businesses and practices which regulators say are aimed at reinforcing their dominance.
Register now for FREE unlimited access to Reuters.com
To make it easy for users to switch to rivals, the companies will have to allow users to remove pre-installed apps, change default settings, install third-party apps and app stores and unsubscribe from core platform services.
Smaller competitors will be allowed to inter-operate with the dominant company’s own services and promote their offers and conclude contracts with their customers outside the gatekeeper’s platform.
Under the rules, gatekeepers are banned from using the data of business users with whom they compete, unfairly rank their services and products above rivals, or require apps developers to use their payment systems.
“The judgment strengthens the hand of the Commission. It confirms the Commission can use antitrust proceedings as a backstop threat to enforce rapid compliance with digital regulation also known as the DMA,” said Nicolas Petit, professor at European University Institute.
A two-pronged approach will help regulators, said Thomas Hoppner, a partner at law firm Hausfeld.
“Without effective antitrust enforcement and targeted legislation, Google’s core platforms will remain unassailable and a major source of distortions of the competitive process online. This case was just the beginning, but a very important first step,” he said.
EU lawmaker Andreas Schwab said the judgment underscores the rationale for the DMA.
“Although this judgment comes many years late, I welcome the decision of the General Court that today confirms the need to ban such practices through specific ex ante obligations,” he said.
“This is the second strike that Google has received almost a year after its sister judgment on the Google Shopping case, and on the same day that the DMA Regulation is officially signed, we can definitely declare ‘game over’,” Schwab said.
The Commission should take note of the court’s disagreement with its argument on one point, said Ioannis Kokkoris, professor at Queen Mary University of London.
“The reasoning behind annulling part of the decision is based on the evidence submitted and the AEC (as efficient competitor) test while the Court explicitly accepts the conduct being abusive in itself,” he said.
An AEC test allows regulators to examine a dominant company’s costs and sales prices to see whether it is charging below-cost prices.
“This will be a good lesson on the quality of assessment the Commission will need to conduct in enforcing the DMA when it comes to investigating exclusivity conducts in pre-installation cases,” he said.

The SereneLife Inflatable Paddleboard maintains its best-seller status with its 10-foot 5-inch frame, which is 30 inches wide for optimal stabilization on the water. It’s made from durable dual-layer PVC material that’s coated with a high-pressure, UV- and corrosion-resistant laminated finish for long-lasting usage. The paddleboard’s triple bottom panel fins allow for enhanced maneuverability and hassle-free steering, and its anti-slip, cushioned top deck pad keeps you balanced and comfortable throughout the duration of your voyage. In fact, it earned a spot on Travel + Leisure’s Best Inflatable Paddleboards list for its impressive performance on rough waters.
The board’s inflatable, travel-friendly construction makes it portable and easy to assemble and disassemble as well as incredibly compact when not in use. In addition to the SereneLife Inflatable Paddleboard, shoppers also get a coiled ankle cuff safety leash, sturdy aluminum paddle, manual air pump, repair kit, and storage bag with their purchase. It’s also worth mentioning that the SUP paddleboard comes equipped with tie-down bungee cords so you can securely store small coolers, backpacks, waterproof pouches, water bottles, and more to keep your essentials safe and close when you’re out exploring.
