Davis15 REC, 261 YD, 2 TDS See New Posts Pinned This game belongs to the Jets. 40-17 now after the Braxton Berrios run.  Pinned Pinned The Dolphins had a very creative play call on fourth and 1. A fullback handoff, and he pitched it to Mostert. You can’t even blame the call, that was all Jets defense. Great pursuit, they were all over it.  Pinned It’s great to see first-round pick Quinnen Williams come up with a big play. Thompson fumbles (First Miami fumble lost all year) and now the Jets are about to extend their lead.  Pinned 7 plays, 56 yards and seven points. The Jets now have a nine-point lead. Michael Carter has two touchdowns, but Breece Hall has been the story. 78 rushing yards and 100 receiving yards on 2 targets.  Pinned OH NO. A missed 54-yard field goal. That feels like a pretty significant moment. Dolphins remain down 2 points, but this defense has been stout.  43 yards, 6 plays. Missed FG from Jets’ 36-yard line.  Pinned We had just three points scored in the third quarter after 28 scored in the second quarter. Wonder how much more scoring we will get. Both offenses not exactly balling out. Penalties are sparking drives now.  Pinned Anytime you go deep on fourth and 1 is very weird. Is Skylar Thompson about to out-duel Zach Wilson? Pinned Dolphins have now gone 10 plays on 47 yards. Drive has felt like an eternity. Nothing really going. Field goal unit coming out.  Pinned Expect Miami to rely on Mostert a ton in this second half.  Pinned Durham Smythe with a one-yard rush touchdown rush on a play the Chiefs ran last week against the Bucs. 19-14 now. It really feels like the Jets have momentum, but this game is far from over.  Pinned Six seconds before halftime. Dolphins going for it on second and goal down 19-7.  Pinned What’s really stood out to me so far apart from Sauce Gardner is Raheem Mostert. He has 74 yards rushing right now!  Pinned SAUCE GARDNER. He should be the favorite for Defensive Rookie of the Year no respect to Devin Lloyd. Two HUGE plays today. Kid is a baller.  Pinned Dolphins! 8 plays, 75 yards. Mike McDaniel is having to get creative with some of these play calls with a third-stringer. It worked on that drive. Keep an eye on the running backs here. 12-7 Jets.  Pinned Breece Hall catch-and-run goes for 79 YARDS. Dolphins defense had no interest in tackling him.  Pinned A three-and-out on Thompson’s second drive. A screen went nowhere, and a five-yard completion on third and seven wasn’t enough. Big opportunity for the Jets here.  Pinned Jets put together their best drive of the game. 56 yards on seven plays. Ends on a 34-yard field goal to push the lead to five points. More than half of those yards came from penalties.  Pinned Dolphins go 5 plays, 33 yards before they have to punt. I really do like Skylar Thompson though. I want to see if he’s going to settle in. While it’s early, I think a storyline we are passing over is that the Jets’ offense has been bad. Let’s see if they can pick up more than one first down this drive.  Pinned Pinned Pinned Dang we really have Skylar Thompson vs. Zach Wilson today. Unreal. Thompson was a stud in the preseason. Read more here: https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/dolphins-mike-mcdaniel-may-be-forced-to-keep-skylar-thompson-as-third-qb-hes-made-it-tough-hasnt-he/ Pinned Dolphins defense shows up! Jets forced to punt after another four-play drive. I’m keeping an eye on this offensive line through the afternoon.  Pinned Pinned Wow the Jets are so juiced today. Safety to start the game and now great field position thanks to Braxton Berrios.  Pinned First offensive play for the Dolphins and they get a safety! Unreal. Intentional grounding is definitely a weird call. Almost looked like a fumble.  I don’t care if the arm is going forward, Bridgewater didn’t have possession of the ball. Pinned Pinned Sauce Gardner shows up! He’s been lockdown this year and it feels like we aren’t talking enough about him. What a big hit on Bridgewater to start the game.  Pinned Pinned See More

It is an amazing experience to see how this technology can be utilized in a baseball space; I’m very excited about how the future will look with this technology and incorporate it into a game!” — Aaron Schneider | LSA Head Baseball Coach HOUSTON, TEXAS, USA, October 9, 2022 /EINPresswire.com/ — Marcus Cantu is the first high school baseball player to use holographic teleportation. Cantu was holographically teleported into the Coach’s office, and the coach could coach him remotely. Cantu and his coach Mr. Schneider used Aexa’s novel technology, “Holoconnect,” which allows users to project as a three-dimensional hologram into a remote location. Aexa’s technology was used for the first time in October 2021, when NASA flight surgeon Dr. Josef Schmid, industry partner AEXA Aerospace CEO Fernando De La Pena Llaca and their teams were the first humans “holographically teleported” from Earth into space. Aexa plans to release this technology during the last quarter of 2022 as a low-cost universal solution. Aexa will launch the technology under Aexa Tech, and the Holoconnect will be available for any Mixed Reality, Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, Smart glasses, Smartphones, and Tablets. The goal is to provide holographically teleportation technology to any consumer by allowing them to use devices they currently have. That way, the technology will be available to help to provide coaching to sports players in any remote area. This technology will also be used for engineering, education, and medical purposes. Elly Awesome Apple Watch Ultra Review: Design, Features, Battery Life, Price | News.com.au — Australia’s Leading News Site – News.com.au https://dentoncountynewsonline.com/elly-awesome-apple-watch-ultra-review-design-features-battery-life-price-news-com-au-australias-leading-news-site-news-com-au/ REVIEW Apple has brought out a seriously rugged smartwatch called the Apple Watch Ultra, which boasts up to 60 hours of battery life, with its new low power mode. Could this be the perfect Apple Watch for explorers, adventurers or even the every day Apple Watch user? Design The Apple Watch Ultra is a cellular smartwatch that comes in one colour – titanium. It reminds me of Apple’s starlight colour, which presents as a colour that’s between silver and gold. Titanium is also the material the watch is made out of so that the Ultra is lightweight, rugged and resistant to corrosion. And depending on the watch band you choose, the Ultra can have a totally different look. There are three all new watch bands made for the Ultra – the alpine loop, trail loop, and ocean band and they’re all unique and made for different scenarios. For example, the ocean band is made of a high performance elastomer, which is great for stretching over a wetsuit and is also secure for high performance water sports. These three bands (that are available in multiple colours) are probably the best bands to choose for this watch, however, I can confirm that ”regular” 45mm watch bands also fit the Apple Watch Ultra. Features Taking a look at the new Apple Watch Ultra, it’s very much a beefed up version of a regular Apple Watch. It’s the largest Apple watch face we’ve seen at 49mm, as opposed to the largest regular Apple Watch which has a display size of 45mm. The sapphire crystal watch face is now completely flat and flush with its titanium casing; there’s no longer a curved display that meets the metal edges. And the new display is the brightest ever in an Apple Watch at 2000 nits, twice as bright compared to any other Apple Watch. This is one of my favourite new features of the watch. The display is so unbelievably clear, and easy to read, even in harsh sunlight. On the left side there’s a refined dual-frequency GPS antenna, that provides more accurate location data for calculating distance, pace, and route maps. There are dual speakers so that audio playback such as Siri and phone calls are louder and easier to hear. There’s a new large, orange coloured ‘Action Button’ which is a customisable button that allows you to instantly start a pre-programmed workout, mark a compass waypoint or you can even press and hold it to activate the new Siren feature. It’s a built-in 86 decibel siren that can be heard up to 180 metres away, which is helpful if you’re lost and are hoping to attract attention. I can confirm it is an impressive feature. There’s also a new depth gauge which provides real time measurements of underwater depths up to 40 metres, making it like a dive computer, and it also includes water temperature readings. Additionally, on the right side there’s a new three-mic array. Through my tests I found that these have seriously improved the microphone’s audio quality, providing clearer audio quality, especially in windy environments. Apple has also raised the side button slightly, and enlarged the digital crown dial and given it coarser grooves to make it easier to use, which is helpful if you have gloves on. So, the entire watch has been through a complete overhaul. And it’s become a swiss army knife on your wrist, with the addition of smart features such as crash detection (which will intelligently alert emergency services if you’re in a car crash), GPS waypoints, and fall detection. Personally, I’m not a big adventurer myself, I’ve never done a triathlon and I’m not an athlete but I love having all of these insane features on my wrist. I feel like Inspector Gadget. I will say though, this watch is a lot chunkier than the regular Apple Watch. And even as someone who enjoys wearing the larger 45mm Apple Watch, it felt a little big for everyday wear. In saying that, it’s only around 10g heavier than the Apple Watch I currently wear, so it’s only a visible difference, and you can barely notice a difference in weight. Battery Life I haven’t been able to test the Ultra’s low power battery mode, which boasts 60 hours of battery life, as it’s coming soon to the Apple Watch Ultra as an update. For now, I’ve been able to use the watch for almost two days straight, whereas the regular watch only lasts around a day. However, the Apple Watch Ultra with general use, boasts up to 36 hours of battery life, and it has been delightful to not have to charge it as frequently. This also means it can finally track a full triathlon, which was apparently a pain point for athletes and amateur athletes previously. Is it worth it? With the Apple Watch Ultra, Apple has now created a watch that suits a whole new range of people. Endurance athletes, people that partake in water sports, divers, and a range of other unique activities. And although the battery life isn’t going to beat all of the competition when it comes to activity tracking smartwatches, the improved battery life is now enough to last a full triathlon with GPS turned on. The price tag of the Ultra makes more sense for people who are heading out on adventures regularly, and for those that plan to push this watch to its limits. However, if you’re a diehard Apple Watch fan and you value having the best of all battery life, you wear gloves at your work, you need the most durable and waterproof smart watch, with the brightest display, and you like larger watches, this is absolutely the Apple Watch for you. The Apple Watch Ultra retails for $1299. Elly Awesome is an Aussie tech and lifestyle vlogger | @ellyawesometech | YouTube

OpenSea Hit In Ongoing Crypto Exec Exodus As CFO Resigns – Cryptopolitan https://dentoncountynewsonline.com/opensea-hit-in-ongoing-crypto-exec-exodus-as-cfo-resigns-cryptopolitan/ TL;DR Breakdown OpenSea’s chief financial officer Brain Roberts has resigned. Monthly volume and unique users on the NFT marketplace have fallen over recent months. Crypto executives are increasingly leaving their positions amid the bear market. The past few months in the cryptocurrency industry have been marked with a disturbing number of executive resignations, and OpenSea has just become the latest firm caught in the wave. OpenSea’s CFO resigns The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at OpenSea, Brian Roberts, has stepped down from his position in the NFT marketplace. Roberts joined OpenSea in December 2021, marking ten months of active service in leading and growing the finance team at the largest NFT marketplace.  Well it is time for me to come ashore from the “open seas.” I’m grateful for the opportunity and proud of many accomplishments but none more than the strength of the finance team at OpenSea.” Brian Roberts. Although Roberts ceases to become OpenSea’s CFO, he intends to assume an advisory role at the NFT marketplace. The current Vice President of Finance, Justin Jow, will reportedly take over the wheel as Chief Financial Officer.  “I remain incredibly bullish on web3 and especially OpenSea. The company is heads down building and I assure you, the best is yet to come,” Roberts added. Crypto bear market forces more exec departure Roberts’ departure comes as OpenSea records a significant decrease in market interest and trading volume. According to DappRadar, OpenSea’s monthly volume is currently over 7% to $245 million. Additionally, the number of unique wallet addresses interacting with the protocol has also declined by 4.12% to 258.23k.  Generally, interest in NFTs and cryptocurrencies are currently down owing to the bear market and uncertainties around the global economy. Amidst these events, many cryptocurrency companies have seen their executives resign, including Algorand, Alameda Research, Kraken, Celsius, etc.  In late September, the President of FTX.US Brett Harrison announced his resignation 18 months after joining the exchange. Similar to Roberts, Harrison intends to stay at the exchange as an advisor.  Ibiam Wayas Ibiam is an optimistic crypto journalist. US: BMW Set New Plug-In Car Sales Record In Q3 2022 – InsideEVs https://dentoncountynewsonline.com/us-bmw-set-new-plug-in-car-sales-record-in-q3-2022-insideevs/ The BMW Group (BMW and MINI) reports a slight year-over-year improvement in car sales in the US. During the third quarter, the company sold 85,209 cars (up 4%), although the year-to-date result is still in the red at 249,835 (down 6%). BMW: 78,031 (up 3%) MINI: 7,178 (up 11%) Total: 85,209 (up 4%) In terms of plug-in electric cars, the company reports record results achieved by the BMW brand, which in Q3 sold 10,858 plug-ins (12.7% of the total volume), including 4,337 battery-electric cars (5.1% of the total volume). This includes 1,727 BMW iX, so we guess that the remaining 2,610 BEVs must be BMW i4 (as the BMW i3 was at 0 and there are no other all-electric BMWs on the market). Unfortunately, BMW counts electric and internal-combustion engine 4-series together in its stats. “Increased availability of the battery electric BMW iX Sports Activity Vehicle and BMW i4 Gran Coupe fueled sales growth in all three months of the third quarter.  As a result, the company also set new quarterly benchmarks for both battery electric (4,337) and plug-in hybrid electric deliveries (10,858 BEV & PHEV combined).” The good news is that soon the lineup will be further strengthened by the all-electric flagship BMW i7, which will arrive at dealerships in the US this quarter. BMW plug-in electric car sales: BMW i3: 0 (down 100%, retired) BMW i4: potentially 2,610 (new) BMW i8: 0 (down 100%, retired) BMW iX: 1,727 (new) Total: 10,858 (4,337 BEVs and 6,521 PHEVs) and 12.7% share * only models for which data are available Besides the i-series models, BMW offers also multiple plug-in hybrids, but sales data for those models is not available. On top of that comes the MINI brand and its plug-in hybrid Cooper S E Countryman ALL4 and all-electric MINI CooperSE, but once again, without any info about its sales results. Sebastian Mackensen, President and CEO, BMW of North America said: “The customer demand and enthusiasm for BMW’s electric vehicles has been there from the start. With the support of our dealer partners, we expect this momentum to accelerate through the fourth quarter, resulting in a strong finish to the year.” Detailed BMW sales results:

Denton Burn Drink Driver With Shockingly High Breath Reading Had Smoke Coming From His Car – Chronicle Live https://dentoncountynewsonline.com/denton-burn-drink-driver-with-shockingly-high-breath-reading-had-smoke-coming-from-his-car-chronicle-live/ A drink driver who had a shockingly high breath test reading was caught after police spotted smoke coming from his car. Dad-of-two Craig Hayes, who was nearly five times over the limit, pulled out into oncoming traffic, travelled at excessive speed and hit a central reservation as he drove along Denton Road, in Newcastle, one evening last month. Unfortunately for him, the manner of his driving, and the fact smoke was coming from his Peugeot 308, was witnessed by two officers, who signalled for him to stop, a court heard. It was immediately noted that Hayes was drunk and he went on to give a staggering breath test reading of 171mcg of alcohol, in 100ml of breath, when the legal limit is just 35mcg. It is one of the highest readings the court had seen. Read More:Man appears in court over alleged murder of Northumbria University student Now, Hayes, of Castleside Road, in Denton Burn, has been given a 17-week prison sentence, suspended for 24 months, and a 40-month ban after he pleaded guilty to driving with excess alcohol. He must also pay a £154 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Kinglsey Njoku, prosecuting at Newcastle Magistrates’ Court, said police were on duty on Denton Road at 7.25pm on September 11 this year. Mr Njoku added: “There was a lot of smoke coming from the vehicle. The officers followed it and witnessed it pull out into oncoming traffic. “It was also travelling at excess speed along Silver Lonnen and then it hit a central reservation while attempting to turn right onto Stamfordham Road. The police used their lights and siren to indicate for the defendant to pull over and the defendant came to a stop. When police went to speak to the defendant, they identified him as the defendant and they believed, from what they saw, that he was drunk.” The court heard that Hayes’s “eyes were glazed, he smelled of alcohol and he was physically shaking” when he was spoken to by officers. He was arrested after failing the roadside breath test. Jonathan Pigford, defending, said Hayes had been drinking after arguing with his partner and couldn’t explain why he’d got in the car in a bid to drive to her mother’s house to see her. Mr Pigford said: “He must have a high level of tolerance to alcohol as most people would be unable to stand with that reading.” Read Next Locked up in September: Faces of 39 dangerous criminals taken off North East’s streets Man due in court on 23 counts of theft after allegedly stealing from cars in Newcastle Arrest warrant issued for Blyth couple who allegedly breached order banning them from keeping animals North Shields one-punch killer admits manslaughter of South Shields man Alnwick school tutor seen by mum and child committing sex act in public toilet wearing only a bra

Reduced Restrictions Creates More Optimism For Travel Agencies – PortageOnline.com https://dentoncountynewsonline.com/reduced-restrictions-creates-more-optimism-for-travel-agencies-portageonline-com/ Business is picking up for local travel agencies as airports have reduced the restrictions that were put in place due to COVID-19. Last Saturday, it was announced that certain restrictions within Canada would be reduced, if not totally removed, and that news has inspired potential travellers to get their tickets. Carey Duncan of Travel Quest in Portage la Prairie says people appear to be ready to go. “We’ve certainly been getting a lot of phone calls. It’s really spurred on a lot more people to be thinking about their winter plans and even into the spring of next year, as well,” says Duncan. “Having the mask mandate dropped, now the ArriveCan app is optional. That is just one more hurdle that people don’t have to worry about.” As more and more information comes out, more and more tickets are being sold. Duncan says, don’t wait too long if you have vacation on the mind. “We are seeing people planning well into the future, certainly, for this winter, even beyond, for Europe into the spring and summer,” says Duncan. “Really, with the pricing that we’re seeing right now, with every good news story, prices have tended to go up a little bit. So, you really do need to be planning ahead.”

The initiative will encourage attendees to build confidence in the kitchen from the comfort of their own home. Michaels Culinary School, in Inverness, will be working in collaboration with Mikeysline on the new idea. The school has been in talks with a local GP to be a contributor for so-called social prescription, referring patients to the social enterprise to learn new skills, engage in the community, and pursue a healthy lifestyle using the replicable and affordable recipes produced and taught by chef Connor Rae. Online workshops with Michael’s Culinary School will cover several classic dishes and encourage attendees to build confidence in the kitchen from the comfort of their own home. The workshop collaboration started yesterday – World Mental Health Day – and a number of places on the workshop were reserved for the benefit of Mikeysline volunteers and service users. Mikeysline has recently welcomed consultant nutritional scientist and visiting contributor Kerstin Eickhoff-Piechaczek from Germany. Kerstin will be attending some of the workshops with Connor to facilitate friendly and informative conversations about the relationships between food and mental health. Katie Melville, fundraising manager for Mikeysline, said: “We were delighted to be approached by Michaels Culinary School to benefit from their online workshop programme. Their vision as a social enterprise to encourage people in our community to learn new skills and prepare fresh, healthy and affordable meals for themselves is appropriately timed as the cost of living continues to affect all of us. “By being able to signpost our service users to Michaels Culinary School we can encourage people meet and talk to others, learn something new, and prepare a fresh healthy meal.” Michael Fallows, CEO of Michaels Culinary School, said: “Michaels Culinary School was set up with the help and support of my grandad who sadly took his own life in January 2022 due to poor mental health. “I want to use this opportunity with Mikeysline to make sure that they can continue the work and support that they provide to the local community, and to make sure that people know its OK not to be OK.” Do you want to respond to this article? Euro 2024 Qualifying Draw: England Grouped With Italy – Sky Sports https://dentoncountynewsonline.com/euro-2024-qualifying-draw-england-grouped-with-italy-sky-sports/ England will face Italy and Ukraine in their Euro 2024 qualifying group. Defending champions Italy and England met in the final of Euro 2020 but have now been pitted against each other in their bid to qualify for the tournament in Germany. North Macedonia, who prevented Roberto Mancini’s side from reaching the World Cup, will also feature in Group C. Reacting to England’s qualifying group, manager Gareth Southgate told Sky Sports News: “It’s clearly a tough draw, given the quality of the opposition, and we’ve had draws in qualification that have probably been a little bit more comfortable than that. “But I’d have to say, Poland and Hungary in the last qualifying group (for the Qatar World Cup) was particularly tough as well. So we’re used to that, and the draws are what they are, it’s about how you perform on the day.” On facing familiar opposition in Italy, the England manager added: “There are not too many surprises. We know the quality that they have and we know the depth that they have. England’s record against Italy, generally, is not very good so we’ve got to improve that.” The top two countries from each qualifying group – seven of which include just five countries – will qualify. Scotland have been grouped with Spain and Norway while Wales will face Croatia. But the Republic of Ireland seemingly face a tough challenge after being drawn with Netherlands and France. Two teams from each of the three groups with six countries will also qualify for Euro 2024. Northern Ireland, also in a six-country group, will play Denmark, Finland and Slovenia. Germany, as hosts, have qualified automatically for the tournament while three countries will qualify from the play-offs. The qualifiers start in March and will conclude next November. Group B: Netherlands, France, Republic of Ireland, Greece, Gibraltar. Group C: Italy, England, Ukraine, North Macedonia, Malta. Group D: Croatia, Wales, Armenia, Turkey, Latvia. Group E: Poland, Czech Republic, Albania, Faroe Islands, Moldova. Group F: Belgium, Austria, Sweden, Azerbaijan, Estonia. Group G: Hungary, Serbia, Montenegro, Bulgaria, Lithuania. Group H: Denmark, Finland, Slovenia, Kazakhstan, Northern Ireland, San Marino. Group I: Switzerland, Israel, Romania, Kosovo, Belarus, Andorra. Group J: Portugal, Bosnia, Iceland, Luxembourg, Slovakia, Liechtenstein. Who qualifies for Euro 2024? Two teams – the group winners and runners-up – will qualify automatically from each of the 10 groups. Three teams will then qualify via the play-offs. Germany, as hosts, are the only country currently certain to be one of the 24 nations in action at next summer’s tournament. Please use Chrome browser for a more accessible video player Italy manager Roberto Mancini is looking forward to resuming his team’s rivalry with England What are the key Euro 2024 dates? The first round of qualifiers takes place between March 23-25 2023, while the final matches are on November 19-21 2023. However, the four Nations League finalists will not be in action on either matchday three or four as they will be competing in the finals of that tournament. When are the UEFA EURO 2024 qualifying matches? 23-25/03/2023 Matchday 1 26-28/03/2023 Matchday 2 16-17/06/2023 Matchday 3 19-20/06/2023 Matchday 4 07-09/09/2023 Matchday 5 10-12/09/2023 Matchday 6 12-14/10/2023 Matchday 7 15-17/10/2023 Matchday 8 16-18/11/2023 Matchday 9 19-21/11/2023 Matchday 10 What about the play-offs? Each country that won their Nations League group make it automatically into the play-offs, unless they progress to the tournament itself by finishing in the top two of their qualifying group. In that situation, the next best nation in the respective league will take their play-off place, with this decided by the following criteria: position in the group, points and goal difference. The draw for the play-offs takes place in November 2023, with the play-off semi-finals and finals being played between March 21 and 26, 2024. When is the tournament? The final tournament draw will take place in December 2023 at the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg. The teams will be seeded in accordance with the overall European Qualifiers rankings. Germany will be automatically seeded into pot 1 as hosts, and placed in position A1. The three play-off winners will not be known at the time of the draw but will be placed into pot 4 for the draw. The opening game of Euro 2024 is June 14 2024 with the final taking place on July 14 2024 at the Olympiastadion, Berlin. Who are the Euro 2024 hosts? Germany, the team of the EURO 2024 host association, qualify automatically for the final tournament and therefore did not take part in the qualifying draw.

Terra Luna Classic Price Prediction How High Can LUNC Rally By 2023? Cryptonews
Terra Luna Classic Price Prediction – How High Can LUNC Rally By 2023? – Cryptonews https://dentoncountynewsonline.com/terra-luna-classic-price-prediction-how-high-can-lunc-rally-by-2023-cryptonews/ Terra Luna Classic price prediction is now bullish after LUNC bounced off the 50-day moving average support area of $0.00022525. Most of LUNC’s bullish trend is driven by the new burn mechanism.  Binance, a cryptocurrency exchange, has created a new burn mechanism for the Luna Classic (LUNC) token, bringing renewed interest to the original Terra chain’s token.  The question now is how high LUNC can rally by 2023. Let’s find out!  Binance Implements Terra Classic (LUNC) Burn Mechanism Accordingly to Binance’s announcement, the exchange decided to develop a burn mechanism to transfer all trading fees on LUNC spot and margin trading pairs to the LUNC burn address. This announcement will be updated weekly with the precise quantity of LUNC to be burned, its corresponding value in USDT, and the on-chain transaction ID. About 7.2 billion LUNC were burned in batch 1 of LUNC burn. However, There has been no apparent change in the rate of cryptocurrency burns nearly two weeks after the widespread burn of the infamous LUNC began.  Binance LUNC Burn – Source: Binance Announcements It’s worth noting that approximately 6 billion LUNC were taken off the market as trading commissions after the first batch burnt.  The data on trade volumes suggests a decline in the LUNC burn rate.  Furthermore, by October 10, we should have an accurate count of the coins Binance has destroyed. As the primary factor in the number of trading fees and taxes paid on trades, a decrease in trading activity might have an unfavorable impact. Binance Calls Upon Other Exchanges to Implement Burn According to recent tweets by Luna C Whale, Binance, the leading cryptocurrency exchange, has invited other exchanges to implement the LUNC burn mechanism. Thousands of users have retweeted the news, but the source has yet to be confirmed. If this is correct, we may see more LUNC price support in the coming days. Previously, the CoinMarketCap statistics show that if the LUNC trade volume were $913 million on Monday, October 3, it would drop to $250 million by the end of the week. LUNC traders will be watching for the next announcement on the LUNC burn figure with bated breath. Terra Classic’s current price is $0.000294, with a 24-hour trading volume of $260,425,822. Terra Classic has increased by 1.63% in the previous 24 hours. CoinMarketCap now ranks 32nd, with a live market cap of $1,809,604,400.  Terra Luna Classic Price Prediction – How High Can LUNC Rally By 2023? Technically, LUNC has bounced off the 50-day moving average line at $0.000279 and is now trading at 0.000294. The LUNC/USD has completed a 61.8% Fibonacci retracement at $0.000279, and candles closing above this level increase the likelihood of a bullish reversal. LUNC’s immediate resistance remains at $0.000342, which is extended by a 38.2% Fibonacci retracement. Above this, LUNC can target the 50% and 61.8% Fibonacci retracement levels, which are at $0.000392 and $0.000440, respectively. The leading technical indicators, the relative strength index (RSI) and the moving average convergence and divergence (MACD), are tossing in the bullish and bearish zones on the daily timeframe. These indicators show a tug-of-war between bulls and bears, implying that investors are waiting for a compelling reason to make their next move. On the downside, a break of $0.00028 could send the LUNC price down to $0.000227 or $0.000185 support. How High Can LUNC Rally By 2023? Given the success of the LUNC burn, LUNC has the potential to attract buyers, and increased demand could push the LUNC price up to $0.000439 or $0.000586. A further bullish breakout in LUNC could open up more room for buying until $0.000765 (1.14% Fib extension) or $0.000997 (1.14% Fib extension) levels.  LUNC Alternatives – Tamadoge & IMPT Pumping Tamadoge, a meme coin, has grown in popularity since its yearly low of $0.01683. OpenSea now sells ultra-rare Tamadoge NFTs starting at 1 WETH. Tamadoge has become the third most valuable meme coin in the crypto space. On the other hand, IMPT’s presale remains in the highlights. Even though the blockchain-based carbon credit marketplace launched its auction during a cryptocurrency bear market, demand for the marketplace token remained high. The project’s native currency, the IMPT token, has already raised an incredible $2.4 million after only six days of presale, having sold 133.36 tokens.

Equities Fall As US Labor Market Stays Tight UBS
Equities Fall As US Labor Market Stays Tight UBS
Equities Fall As US Labor Market Stays Tight – UBS https://dentoncountynewsonline.com/equities-fall-as-us-labor-market-stays-tight-ubs/ What happened? The S&P 500 fell 2.8% on Friday, paring its weekly gains to 1.5%, after the US nonfarm payrolls report showed the US labor market remains tight, supporting the case for the Federal Reserve to continue tightening policy aggressively. The US economy added a net 263,000 new jobs in September, and the unemployment rate fell back to 3.5%, matching the pre-pandemic level at a 50-year low. Ten-year Treasury yields rose 6 bps to 3.88% and closed the week 8bps higher. The Dollar Index (DXY) strengthened 0.4% on Friday. Meanwhile, Brent crude oil prices continued to advance, rising 4.3% to USD 98.6/bbl, after OPEC+ announced earlier in the week that it would cut crude production by an effective 1–1.1 million barrels per day as of November. What do we expect? Friday’s fall in the S&P 500 capped a volatile week in which markets were driven by the waxing and waning of investor optimism about an earlier-than-expected pivot in Fed policy. At the start of the week, US equities rallied 5.7% in two days and 10-year Treasury yields fell 24 bps as a weak ISM manufacturing reading for September and a fall of more than 1mn in JOLTS job openings in August offered evidence of a slowing economy and loosening labor market. This raised hopes that the Fed could soon shift away from its hawkish stance. However, Fed officials were quick to push back against this view. Chicago Fed President Charles Evans said on Thursday that the benchmark rate will probably be at 4.5% to 4.75% by next spring, while the Minneapolis Fed’s Neel Kashkari said the central bank is “quite a ways away” from pausing its campaign of rate increases. Further data releases pointed to continued robust activity, underlining the case for tighter policy: The ISM non-manufacturing PMI edged lower to 56.7 in September from 56.9 in August, ahead of expectations for a reading of 56. Overall, Friday’s nonfarm payrolls report reinforced the perception of continued strength in the labor market. There were some early signs of cooling in the data. The net rate of job creation at 263,000 for the month represents the slowest pace of jobs growth since April 2021. In addition, average hourly earnings showed a modest gain of 10 cents per hour in September after 9 cents in August. If sustained, this pace of wage growth would be compatible with the Fed’s 2% inflation target, in our view. But the decline in the unemployment rate to 3.5%, from 3.7%, suggests that the labor market remains tight. Moreover, the labor force participation rate, which had risen in the prior month, edged lower to 62.3%. While it is important not to read too much into one month’s data, this could indicate that the US is running short of people on the sidelines who can rejoin the labor market. The debate within central banks about the right pace of rate hikes is likely to intensify over the next few months, and we expect this to drive more of the volatility that investors have dealt with over the past few months, with periodic rallies followed by pullbacks. We think a more sustained rally in equities would likely require indications of a clear downtrend in US inflation, along with signs of a cooling labor market, which could then allow the Fed to pause its rate hiking cycle. We continue to expect another 75-basis-point rate hike from the Fed in November. The consumer price index for September, due on 13 October, will be the key data release of the coming week. The NFIB survey of small businesses will also provide further information on job openings and wage growth. How do we invest? With uncertainty set to remain high in the months ahead, we recommend building portfolios that can prove resilient across a range of potential scenarios. We tilt our preferences toward more defensive areas of each asset class, including consumer staples and healthcare stocks, and high-quality bonds. Our preferred currencies include the US dollar and Swiss franc, two traditional safe havens that are also exposed to convincing rate-hike cycles. We also like global value stocks, the energy sector—which should be supported by higher oil prices in the quarters ahead—and the value-oriented UK market. The MSCI All Country World Value index has outperformed its growth equivalent by 12 percentage points in the first three quarters of the year, and with inflation still well above central banks’ targets, we expect this trend to continue. With equities and bonds driven by expectations around inflation and central bank policy, we also recommend that investors seek uncorrelated sources of return, for example through diversification into hedge funds, particularly discretionary macro strategies, and private markets.

Women’s ACHA Hockey Drops Series Finale To Indiana Tech – Lindenwood Athletics https://dentoncountynewsonline.com/womens-acha-hockey-drops-series-finale-to-indiana-tech-lindenwood-athletics/ Women’s ACHA hockey fell to Indiana Tech 6-3 in the series finale Saturday afternoon at SpeedOne Parkview Arena in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The Lions displayed great defense early, keeping the Warriors off the board for most of the opening period, but a goal at 16:17 put Indiana Tech in the lead and the Warriors took a 2-0 advantage at 7:54 of the second. Lindenwood responded with great sustained pressure in the zone. After almost a minute, the Warriors gained possession, but Madison Teague took the puck away and found the back of the net on an unassisted play at the 9:57 mark. The Lions were back in the game, but a penalty gave Indiana Tech a power play late in the period. The Warriors capitalized to go up 3-1. A flurry of activity marked the opening minutes of the third. Indiana Tech scored another power play goal 37-seconds in to lead 4-1, but then was called for a body checking penalty. Lindenwood won the faceoff and took a shot, but was denied. The Warriors countered on a rush and scored short-handed for a 5-1 advantage, but the Lions were still on the power play. They cashed it in and cut the deficit to three when Kim Turcotte was set up for a shot by Loki Antonio at the 2:36 mark. The third period proved to be a physical and chippy one with 19-minutes of penalties called. Five of those came on a major call against Lindenwood. On the ensuing power play, Indiana Tech kept the puck in the zone for over three minutes and eventually scored at 7:16 to extend the lead to 6-2. The Lions scored the last goal of the game on another power play with 1:56 remaining in regulation. Jessica Wither and Antonio set up Kennedy Frank for the shot. The Warriors outshot Lindenwood 39-24 and Maia Busi stopped 33 of the 39 shots she faced in a losing effort for the Lions in goal. With the loss, Lindenwood fell to 1-3 on the season. The Lions go back on the road for a two-game series in Women’s Midwest College Hockey (WMCH) action against Minnesota October 15-16. The puck drops at 7 p.m. Saturday night and at 1 p.m. Sunday afternoon at Rider Arena in Minneapolis, Minnesota.     Players Mentioned #33 Maia Busi G 5′ 3″ Senior Right #3/A Kennedy Frank F 5′ 10″ Senior Right #14 Madison Teague D 5′ 3″ Sophomore Left #28 Kim Turcotte D 5′ 5″ Senior Left #9 Loki Antonio F 5′ 1″ Senior Left #22 Jessica Wither D 5′ 6″ Freshman Left Players Mentioned #33 Maia Busi 5′ 3″ Senior Right G #3/A Kennedy Frank 5′ 10″ Senior Right F #14 Madison Teague 5′ 3″ Sophomore Left D #28 Kim Turcotte 5′ 5″ Senior Left D #9 Loki Antonio 5′ 1″ Senior Left F #22 Jessica Wither 5′ 6″ Freshman Left D

12 Tips For Surviving A Luxury Cruise With Kids The Points Guy
12 Tips For Surviving A Luxury Cruise With Kids The Points Guy
12 Tips For Surviving A Luxury Cruise With Kids – The Points Guy https://dentoncountynewsonline.com/12-tips-for-surviving-a-luxury-cruise-with-kids-the-points-guy/ Take the kids on a luxury cruise — how dare you? Luxury cruises are the domain of well-heeled, mature couples looking for fine dining, personal service, elegant suites and onboard spaces free of loud, energetic children. Or so say luxury cruise fans on online forums whenever someone floats the idea of treating their family to an upscale cruise. Ignore them. You shouldn’t have to sacrifice your preferred luxury standards just because you’re cruising as a foursome (or more) rather than a twosome. And unless your cruise line expressly prohibits children under a certain age, there’s no reason why you can’t bring the younger members of your family along. The key to luxury cruising with kids is to know what to expect from the ship and what to expect from your kids, and then plan accordingly. If you’re ready to ditch Disney’s jungle cruise ride for a week or more in favor of an upscale cruise ship, follow these 12 tips for a successful luxury sailing with your junior cruisers. For more cruise news, reviews and tips, sign up for TPG’s cruise newsletter. Sign up for our daily newsletter Take a hard look at your kids Is your child well behaved and polite, or do they throw massive tantrums routinely at dinner? Does your teen prefer to make friends on vacation or hang out with her family? Does your middle-schooler get easily bored without nonstop activities or can he find his own fun anywhere? The answers to these questions will help you decide if an adult-focused, luxury cruise vacation is right for your family. If your child can’t handle long dinners, a ship without water slides and rock-climbing walls, and minimal to no other kids on board, now might not be the right time to splurge on that dream luxury cruise. You can always wait a few years and try again. Then again, if your budding foodies love to try new cuisines, earned airline elite status as a toddler and are on first-name basis with the staff at the Ritz, they will fit in just fine. Choose ships with kids programming Paul Gauguin’s onboard naturalists run its Moana Explorer Program for children. PAUL GAUGUIN CRUISES Some upscale cruise lines outright ban children (Viking) or have an age minimum (Windstar), but others welcome kids and offer special activities during sailings with larger-than-usual numbers of children. Regent Seven Seas Cruises offers its Club Mariner program for kids ages 5 to 17, with daily programming led by youth counselors. Paul Gauguin Cruises runs the Moana Explorer Program to introduce kids to the natural wonders of the South Pacific on summer and holiday sailings. Other lines, such as Seabourn, might not have an official kids program but will put on activities when families are sailing in abundance. Be sure to ask your travel agent what to expect if you’re cruising with younger kids who could benefit from age-appropriate games and crafts. Plan for family time On a big ship, your kids could spend the entire day in the kids club or running around with a pack of teens to the sports court and water slides, leaving the adults to enjoy the spa or solarium in peace. On a luxury cruise ship, with fewer options for children, you should count on lots of family together time instead. This is a good thing. Save your massage for a weekend at home and date night for your regular sitter. You don’t have many chances to spend whole days with your kids without work emails and chores getting in the way. Embrace this opportunity to go to shows together, laugh as your kid tries foie gras for the first time, or sip tea, nibble scones and just talk to each other. The together time is a greater luxury than you might have imagined. Choose the right itinerary ROBERTO MOJOLA/SYSAWORLD/GETTY IMAGES If you’re concerned that long days at sea on a luxury cruise ship won’t go over well with your kids, look for an itinerary that’s in port nearly every day. You can plan family fun off the ship, and then come back on board for gourmet dinners and an evening show or in-cabin movie before hitting the sack. Everyone wins. Also, make sure you pick a destination that’s age appropriate. Little kids might prefer a tropical cruise with plenty of beach time versus strolling the cobblestoned streets of quaint towns in France and Italy. Active tweens and teens might relish zip-lining, hiking and kayaking in Alaska, while bookish kids might itch to see historic sites in Greece and Turkey. Let your kids select their onboard activities Other luxury cruisers will tell you that there are no activities for kids on fancy cruise ships, but I’ve watched plenty of kids on high-end sailings and can tell you that’s not true. Kids like all kinds of activities, not just the ones planned for them. On one Seabourn cruise, I was on a daily trivia team with a family that included a 10-year-old girl. She was enthusiastic about the daily game and contributed several answers. Another boy and his grandmother always showed up to afternoon tea and he seemed happy as a clam. I’ve seen kids on Regent Seven Seas enjoying the pool, not to mention the ice cream. My own kids have surprised me with their interest in the captain’s Q&A or games of shuffleboard, so don’t assume that just because there isn’t specific kids programming that your kids will be bored. Make use of room service Luxury cruises are known for spacious cabins and complimentary in-room meal service. Make use of these perks by ordering meals to your cabin when the kids are tired or can’t sit through a leisurely dinner. They can eat chicken fingers while watching cartoons, and you don’t have to miss out on the evening’s culinary selections. You can even ask for dinner to be served course by course from the main restaurant. Or order coffee for you and cereal for them to arrive in the morning while everyone’s getting ready, and then meander up to the buffet for a hot breakfast without anyone having a hangry meltdown. Bring snacks — or find them on board No matter where you travel, I’m adamant you should always bring snacks for kids. Whether you need a mid-excursion pick-me-up or an alternative to a fancy lunch, be sure to have pre-packaged bars, applesauce pouches or bags of goldfish crackers or pretzels at the ready to prevent meltdowns. Cruise ships don’t always have kid snacks available. Even if you don’t bring your own food, remember you’re on a luxury cruise. Ask your butler to bring a selection of kid-friendly foods (cheese and crackers, grapes, popcorn, cookies) at 3 p.m. each day instead of smoked salmon finger sandwiches or bacon-wrapped dates — though you might also learn your kids have a secret appetite for blinis with caviar. If you can’t order it midday, save cereal and yogurt from breakfast to keep in your suite’s minifridge. And find the onboard cafe with all-day snacks where you can swing by for a quick bite anytime the munchies strike. Related: The ultimate guide to cruise ship food and dining Pack entertainment Luxury cruises will have some planned daytime entertainment, but not as much as on the humongous cruise ships. Trivia, cooking demonstrations and guest lectures are all popular pastimes, but many luxury cruisers prefer a relaxing day of playing cards in a lounge or reading by the pool. If your family needs more excitement, you’ll have to bring the fun. Pack those handheld video game players, tablets loaded with movies and games, a deck of cards, and maybe even some travel-sized board games. For little kids, you might want to bring a coloring pad and crayons, sticker books, dolls or toy cars — whatever keeps your lot happy on a slow day at sea. Engage with the crew REGENCY SEVEN SEAS CRUISES If some of your shipmates are standoffish, I can bet you the crew won’t be. Many have families they’ve left behind at home, and they don’t have the chance to interact with little kids so often on the high-end ships. They will be eager to dote on your junior cruisers, bringing them special treats or making them origami animals out of daily programs. Engage with the crew members and they will help you keep the kids happy and the stress off your shoulders. Don’t count on babysitting Most luxury cruise lines do not offer in-room babysitting — and if they do, it’s only if there is a willing female crew member available at the time you need. It’s a courtesy, not a guaranteed service. Don’t take a luxury cruise assuming someone will be able to stay in the room with your sleeping children while you enjoy the onboard nightlife. If you’re really intent on having adult alone time on the ship, you’ll want to bring your own nanny or babysitter for your children. That might mean booking your kids and the sitter in a room adjoining yours, or sharing a suite with your family and booking the nanny into a lower-category cabin. It will likely mean booking a second cabin, which is not cheap on a high-end line, but the expense might be worth it if everyone enjoys the trip more with an extra set of eyes and hands. Related: 5 secrets to getting a luxury cruise for less Ignore the sideye Unfortunately, while many cruisers will be thrilled to see kids on board, some of your shipmates will give you the look or mutter comments about your choice to sail with children — especially in a moment when your kids aren’t being 100% perfect angels. Don’t let them yuck your yum. You have as much right as they have to bring your family on a luxurious cruise ship. Trust me, I’ve seen plenty of adults whine and tantrum or otherwise behave in a less-than-becoming manner on upscale cruise ships. Your kids are acting their age — those folks knew better. Still, most of the kids I’ve noticed on luxury cruises were having a great time and not causing any trouble. Take the high road, nod and smile at the naysayers, and go on enjoying your fine family getaway. Consider a suite ...

Small Axe Peppers Spices Up Traditional Business Model Via Community Gardens – Yahoo Finance https://dentoncountynewsonline.com/small-axe-peppers-spices-up-traditional-business-model-via-community-gardens-yahoo-finance/ Small Axe Peppers aims to spice up the typical small business model via community gardens across the nation. The Bronx-based business began in 2014 after it donated Serrano pepper seeds to seven community gardens in the Bronx. As of October 2022, it now donates seeds and then purchases back the locally grown-peppers from more than 122 community gardens across the nation, adding up to 15 tons of peppers. Despite its local roots, Small Axe Peppers CEO says it’s not immune to the major headwinds impacting some of its biggest competitors like Conagra (CAG), Kraft Heinz (KHC) and the Campbell Soup Company (CPB). “Like many businesses in this era, transportation costs have gone up and we’re in the process of adjusting some of that [cost]. We’ve had some upward price adjustment to our distribution partners, to make sure that our costs are keeping in line with the cost that we’ve had to absorb in this new environment,” CEO John Crotty told Yahoo Finance (video above). Small Axe Peppers Hot Sauce is made with peppers grown in community gardens and urban farms across America. (Courtesy: Small Axe Peppers) At the end of each harvesting season, the company then buys the peppers back for a price tag of roughly $83,000, but that number will likely increase this year as commodities, shipping and labor costs rise. The cost of fresh vegetables are at an all-time high, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS)’s latest Consumer Price Index (CPI) report for August 2022. “The gardens are still getting a way bigger premium than they had been getting before and we’ve had more gardens come on this year than we’ve had in years past,” Crotty explained. The trek to transport all the peppers back to their production facility just north of the Bronx to create the hot sauce can be costly. In August, the cost of gas dropped 10.6% month-over-month, but was still up 25.6% year-over-year. Now, gas prices are on the rise once again, according to AAA, following Wednesday’s OPEC+ meeting where it announced plans to cut crude production by 2 million barrels of oil per a day this fall. Currently, the national average sits at $3.89 per a gallon. Despite the impact, Small Axe Peppers is determined to bring this model to more community gardens or as Crotty calls it “green oasis spaces” in urban cities. The peppers are now grown more than 42 cities including Chicago, Detroit, Atlanta, Los Angeles, Phoenix, among others. There is also an expanding list of regional product offerings, among other items including Serrano pepper seeds for customers to grow themselves. According to Crotty, the word about its mission is spreading fast. “It’s amazing how many gardeners around the country knew people in the Bronx, so as the model expanded, word of mouth expanded.” Brooke DiPalma is a reporter for Yahoo Finance. Fantasy Football Today: Week 5 Injuries With Tyreek Hill Among WRs Ready To Play Sunday, Plus Rankings Updates – CBS Sports https://dentoncountynewsonline.com/fantasy-football-today-week-5-injuries-with-tyreek-hill-among-wrs-ready-to-play-sunday-plus-rankings-updates-cbs-sports/ A closer look at injuries affecting Week 5 lineups plus late rankings Oct 9, 2022 at 11:12 am ET • 9 min read Another week, another bunch of injuries for Fantasy players to deal with. We’ve already had some big names ruled out, with many still up in the air for Sunday’s games.  There’s a lot you need to sort through, and the Fantasy Football Today team is here to help. Jamey Eisenberg, Heath Cummings, and Dave Richard are on CBS Sports HQ right now going over everything you need from every ankle, including the latest up-to-date injury news live until kickoff.  And if you want more direct answers to your questions, I’ve got two more ways for you to win: Go to Twitter and use the hashtag “#AskFFT”, where our whole team will be answering questions all morning; and go to the FFT YouTube channel to chat with Adam Aizer, Frank Stampfl and I starting at 11:30. We’ll be there right up until kickoff answering as many questions as we can, so make sure you’re in the chat early to get your questions in.  For more Week 5 help, here’s the rest of our preview content to get you ready: Week 5 Start ‘Em & Sit ‘Em: QB | RB | WR Starts, sits and sleepers for every game Cheat Sheets: PPR | Non-PPR Week 5 Position Previews:  QB | RB | WR | TE Week 5 Rankings: Jamey | Dave | Heath My rankings: QB | RB | WR | TE Week 5 Injury Report Quarterbacks Out: Jameis Winston (back/ankle), Dak Prescott (thumb), Mac Jones (ankle), Tua Tagovailoa (concussion), Brian Hoyer (concussion) Bailey Zappe is starting for the Patriots this week, while Teddy Bridgewater is in for the Dolphins, while Cooper Rush remains the Cowboys starter for at least another week — and probably longer, given that Prescott is still having trouble gripping a football.  Running backs Brian Robinson’s return from the Non-Football Injury list is one of the best stories of the season, and he’s expected to be active for Sunday’s game against the Titans after recovering from being shot in the leg in an attempted robbery prior to the season. Robinson might end up being the lead back for the Commanders, but he’s likely facing a three-way split with Antonio Gibson and J.D. McKissic, at least to start his NFL career. He’s well worth stashing, but probably shouldn’t be in your lineup this week.  Questionable: Alvin Kamara (ribs), David Montgomery (knee/ankle), Tony Pollard (illness), Boston Scott (ribs), Kenneth Walker (shoulder),  Montgomery’s status is the one most worth watching for this week, and it sounds like he has a decent chance to play this week. That’s good news for Montgomery, but not necessarily for Fantasy, because it would seemingly lead to a split backfield in Chicago. Khalil Herbert has played well this season, but I don’t expect the Bears to just bench Montgomery or anything, so we’re probably looking at a situation where Herbert and Montgomery are both in the 10-15 carry range on a bad offense that doesn’t throw to the running backs, which makes both more like RB3s for me this week. If Montgomery doesn’t play, Herbert is a top-20 back.  Kamara was a surprise inactive last week, but Sunday morning reports indicate he’s expected to play this week. It’s been a tough start to the season for Kamara, but he had seven targets and 15 carries in Week 3, so I’m hoping he has a similar role this week — he’s still a top-10 RB for me.  Out: Cordarrelle Patterson (knee), D’Andre Swift (shoulder/ankle), Justice Hill (hamstring), Tyrion Davis-Price (ankle)  Patterson was placed on IR this week, so that’s going to push Tyler Allgeier and Caleb Huntley into more prominent roles. Both ran the ball well last week, but I’m expecting Allgeier to be the lead back — though that doesn’t necessarily make him a must-start Fantasy RB, even on a Falcons offense that has run the ball incredibly well so far this season.  By submitting my email I agree to receive the “Fantasy Football Today Newsletter” and other marketing and promotional emails from CBS Sports, which may include information from our affiliates and/or partners’ offers, products and services. Sorry! There was an error processing your subscription. Wide receivers As there have been seemingly all season, there are a ton of injuries we’re watching for Week 5 at wide receiver, but the good news is, some of the biggest names listed as “questionable” are expected to play. That includes Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle, Tee Higgins, and CeeDee Lamb, all of whom seem good to go as of Sunday morning, though obviously you’ll want to keep an eye on inactives just in case.  Questionable: Tyreek Hill (quad), Jaylen Waddle (groin), Tee Higgins (ankle), Amon-Ra St. Brown, CeeDee Lamb (groin), Julio Jones (knee), Russell Gage (back), Jarvis Landry (ankle), JuJu Smith-Schuster (hamstring), Isaiah McKenzie (concussion), Jakobi Meyers (knee), Zay Jones (ankle), Rondale Moore (knee), Josh Palmer (ankle), Josh Reynolds (ankle) The biggest question here is probably St. Brown, who is being viewed as a game-time decision, per Sunday morning reports. The good news is, the Lions do play at 1 p.m., so we’ll know his status well before lineups lock. St. Brown might not be 100% if he plays, but I’m still starting him if he’s active — he’s too big of a deal in this Lions offense not to start, even if there is some risk.  Otherwise, the biggest question mark seems to be Smith-Schuster, whose hamstring tightened up on him during Saturday’s practice. It’s not clear if he’s going to play, but with kickoff set for Monday night, you’re probably better off just leaving him on your bench — if you want to risk it, see if Hunter Renfrow (74% rostered) is available as a last-minute swap; otherwise, Mecole Hardman, Skyy Moore, Justin Watson, and Marquez Valdes-Scantling will all have an opportunity for a bigger role, though it’s not clear whether any of them would be worth starting. You probably have someone playing Sunday with a more assured role.  It’s worth noting, we learned Sunday morning Julio Jones is not expected to play, despite being listed as questionable. Gage is expected to play, and he’s in the WR4 discussion behind Mike Evans and Chris Godwin.  Out: Michael Thomas (foot), Keenan Allen (hamstring), Rashod Bateman (foot), D.J. Chark (ankle), Jamison Crowder (ankle, IR), Jahan Dotson (hamstring),  Thomas and Allen continue to miss time, which is good news for Chris Olave and Josh Palmer. Olave is a WR2, while Palmer is a WR3. The Bateman injury is more unclear, because the Ravens don’t necessarily have an obvious reserve receiver who is going to see a massive increase in opportunities. Devin Duvernay should see a few more targets, but he’s been between a 52% and 64% snap share in every game, with no games of more than 54 yards. He’s a fine fill-in option, but not a high priority for me.  Tight ends Out: Kyle Pitts (hamstring), Dawson Knox (foot), Cameron Brate (concussion), Tyler Kroft (knee), Brevin Jordan (ankle) Doubtful: Jonnu Smith (ankle) Questionable: Logan Thomas (calf), Hayden Hurst (groin), Jake Ferguson (knee), Foster Moreau (knee) There aren’t a lot of questions this week, with some big names already ruled out. There really isn’t a good replacement option for Pitts who is widely available, especially with Thomas dealing with his own injury. Maybe Hunter Henry will see a bigger role with Jonnu Smith likely out, but that’s hard to get excited about. You could also consider Irv Smith (49%) or Will Dissly (23%) if you’re desperate.  Rankings Updates Quarterbacks Josh Allen vs. PIT Patrick Mahomes vs. LV Lamar Jackson vs. CIN Jalen Hurts @ARI Justin Herbert @CLE Kyler Murray vs. PHI Tom Brady vs. ATL Joe Burrow @BAL Kirk Cousins vs. CHI Derek Carr @KC Trevor Lawrence vs. HOU Jared Goff @NE Carson Wentz vs. TEN Marcus Mariota @TB Matthew Stafford vs. DAL Teddy Bridgewater @NYJ Geno Smith @NO Andy Dalton vs. SEA Zach Wilson vs. MIA Kenny Pickett  @BUF Cooper Rush @LAR Jacoby Brissett vs. LAC Jimmy Garoppolo @CAR Justin Fields @MIN Baker Mayfield vs. SF Davis Mills @JAX Ryan Tannehill @WAS Bailey Zappe vs. DET Running backs Christian McCaffrey vs. SF Austin Ekeler @CLE Joe Mixon @BAL Leonard Fournette vs. ATL Alvin Kamara vs. SEA Nick Chubb vs. LAC Derrick Henry @WAS Dalvin Cook vs. CHI Najee Harris @BUF Josh Jacobs @KC James Conner vs. PHI Jamaal Williams @NE Devin Singletary vs. PIT Miles Sanders @ARI James Robinson vs. HOU Rhamondre Stevenson vs. DET Damien Harris vs. DET Jeff Wilson @CAR Breece Hall vs. MIA Dameon Pierce @JAX Ezekiel Elliott @LAR Kareem Hunt vs. LAC Clyde Edwards-Helaire vs. LV J.K. ‘Meta Connect’ Rolls Out Next Week Despite Issues Bugging Metaverse – Tech Times https://dentoncountynewsonline.com/meta-connect-rolls-out-next-week-despite-issues-bugging-metaverse-tech-times/ Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg will address the public in two days about important updates to Meta’s billion-dollar metaverse project. This event will take place despite news that leaked Meta company memos revealed that even employees were not particularly enthusiastic about the project they were working on. Metaverse on ‘Quality Lockdown” The Verge is the first to report that memos were sent to Meta employees requesting that they spend more time in the metaverse. According to leaked memos, the Horizon Worlds team is being briefed for not visiting Meta’s metaverse frequently enough, even though this is the product they are working on. Previous reports also indicate that the company is still working to resolve a number of quality issues. Vishal Shah, VP of Metaverse, informs his team through leaked memos that they will be in “quality lockdown” for the remainder of the year so that the problems can be resolved before more users gain access to the app. Mark Zuckerberg could provide insights into what is happening now in the metaverse development as well as his opinion on recent issues hounding the company in the Meta Connect, which will be live streamed on Oct. 11. Previously, the Meta CEO revealed on a Joe Rogan podcast that lighter headsets are in the works. This year’s Meta Connect may provide a glimpse of that. Meta Connect Details The people behind the company will share the process of building the metaverse, as well as the many collaborations that they have made along the way, at the Meta Connect conference. The virtual event is reported to feature key presenters who will discuss a variety of topics related to the digital platform. As per Business Insider, Zuckerberg will discuss the VR developer ecosystem, progress toward the metaverse, and “Project Cambria,” a new high-end VR headset with mixed reality. As stated by the company, anyone with a Meta Quest 2 headset can register to participate virtually in “Meta Horizon Worlds.” On the said date, the company will host a virtual conference for developers, creators, tech enthusiasts, and others. Mark Zuckerberg’s address on how a social metaverse is additive to physical experiences, allowing users to connect in “deeper, more meaningful ways,” will be one of the event’s highlights. Aside from bringing the world closer together, the metaverse promises a plethora of new business opportunities. The event will include talks on how to capitalize on the metaverse’s opportunities and turn them into profitable businesses. Read Also: Signal Messenger to Deliver Stories Feature for Devices, 24-hour Expiring Media [REPORT] In-depth discussions of new products, tools, and hardware will also be held during the event and on-demand later. According to Mark Zuckerberg, Meta is preparing something for its virtual reality headsets that will be available by October, as stated on a Joe Rogan Podcast. The company’s next product will launch later this year to bring the world a new VR headset experience that would give everyone a chance to access the digital world. Scott Snyder Signs New Deal With Amazon & ComiXology For 2023 Bleeding Cool News
Scott Snyder Signs New Deal With Amazon & ComiXology For 2023 Bleeding Cool News
Scott Snyder Signs New Deal With Amazon & ComiXology For 2023 – Bleeding Cool News https://dentoncountynewsonline.com/scott-snyder-signs-new-deal-with-amazon-comixology-for-2023-bleeding-cool-news/ | Spinning out of discussion last night in the New York Comic Con bars is that comic boiok writer Scott Snyder has taken advantage of business meetings held at the show, to sign a new deal with ComiXology Originals for new creator-owned comic books to launch in 2023. In the last couple of years, Scott Snyder has been creating new work with a variety of comic book creators, that has debuted first digitally through ComiXology Originals, heavily promoted by Amazon, and then issued in print through ComiXology’sprint partner Dark Horse Comics. This will be on top of his creator-owned work through Image Comics such as Nocterra and Undiscovered Country, and through IDW, Dark Spaces: Wildfire with Dark Spaces: Good Deeds to follow next year. Here are a look at Scott Snyder’s ComiXology Originals lineup so far. We Have Demons Writer – Scott Snyder Artist – Greg Capullo We Have Demons features widescreen action and the kinds of jaw-dropping storytelling twists that have made Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo the bestselling creator duo of the last 25 years. In every folklore throughout history, there’s a struggle between “angels” and “demons” – between beings of goodness and monstrous beings of darkness. But what if this struggle, this war for the soul of humanity, wasn’t rooted in the mystical or supernatural, but in science? Our hero, Lam was named after the first female angel, “Lamassu.” She never really understood her father’s devotion to their small-town Unitarian church. And when he dies under mysterious circumstances, she starts to question everything she thought she knew. One night, a distraught Lam visits her father’s church looking for answers. What she finds there is a monster: a hulking demon named Chopper who claims to have worked with her father and now offers to work with her to solve her father’s murder. We Have Demons is full throttle entertainment by two comic book megastars, featuring action, conspiracies, secret organizations, monsters, mayhem, and a climactic war of good and evil with no less than the fate of the universe hanging in the balance. Clear Writer – Scott Snyder Artist – Francis Manapul Clear written by Scott Snyder with art and colors by Francis Manapul—Welcome to a world where people are able to connect to the internet like never before, where a neurological internet connection is transforming reality. Welcome to the world of Clear. A dazzling, sci-fi thrill ride into a strange dystopian future, in Clear, people connect to the internet neurologically and mediate the real world through the lenses of their eyes. Everything can be skinned to fit your preferences. There are custom skins for steampunk, old fashioned Hollywood glamour, and pornographic and fetish fantasies. If you can name it, you can live it. You choose how you see the world and no one knows what you’re seeing. In San Francisco, private detective Sam Dunes is working a case for a wealthy woman, spying on her husband, making sure the man isn’t buying illegal untraceable filters to make his wife look like someone else. Dunes has just finished tangling with the filter dealers when his old partner, tells him about the alleged suicide… of his ex-wife. When Dunes receives a gift from his dead ex-wife in the mail, Sam finds himself pulled into a wild and twisting mystery that stretches from the city’s deadly underworld to the even deadlier heights of the city’s wealthy and powerful elite. Night of the Ghoul Writer – Scott Snyder Artist – Francesco Francavilla Scott Snyder and Francesco Francavilla have entertained and terrified comic book fans, now these two modern masters of horror collaborate for the first time ever on Night of The Ghoul, a bloody reimagining of horror monsters that celebrates classic creature features, while creating a contemporary new kind of horror story. Shot in 1936, “Night of the Ghoul” by director T.F. Merritt was meant to sit beside “Frankenstein” and “Dracula” as an instant classic. But the legendary film never made it to the silver screen. A mysterious studio fire destroyed the footage and killed the cast and crew at the wrap-party. No footage was ever recovered…until now. When Forest Inman, a horror film obsessive, stumbles across a forgotten canister of footage, he just might have discovered the remnants of “Night of the Ghoul.” This discovery sends Forest on a dark odyssey to the California desert, where he’s warned by a mysterious old man that the film’s ghoul is far more than a work of fiction: it’s a very real monster who plans to kill him. Night of The Ghoul is a dazzling work of horror, intercutting between the present-day narrative and the story of the lost film (drawn by Francavilla in stunning black and white). Barnstormers Writer – Scott Snyder Artist – Tula Lotay Barnstormers written by Scott Snyder with art by Tula Lotay and colors by Tula Lotay and Dee Cunniffe—High flying adventure and romance fuel Barnstormers, a lush and unforgettable story set just after the First World War. It’s 1923 — the barnstorming era, where pilots fresh from the airfields of the Great War made a living taking civilians for joyrides in the sky for a small fee. One such man claims to be Preston Pike, a dashing war hero pilot, who has flown his way across the U.S. Southeast scrounging for customers while fleeing from his own demons. When a telephone operator says that a big crowd will be awaiting him in nearby Barnville, Preston races over. Instead of eager clientele, though, he finds himself crashing a wedding, and the party isn’t exactly thrilled. But when Claire, the would-be-bride, decides to make an early getaway, Preston unexpectedly becomes a Clyde to this vengeful Bonnie. Along the way they bond, confessing their secrets and engaging in a romance for the ages. Will all that change when the Pinkerton agent following close by finally closes in on them? Barnstormers is an intimate portrait of love and war — and a meditation on the dangerous level of trust required in both romance and aviation. Dudley Datson and the Forever Machine Writer – Scott Snyder Artist – Jamal Igle Dudley Datson and the Forever Machine written by Scott Snyder with art by Jamal Igle and Juan Castro and colors by Chris Sotomayor—Throughout history, the world’s greatest engineers have tried, and failed, to create the perpetual motion machine – a machine that could open doorways through space-time and other terrifying realities. But what if a perpetual motion machine had been created? A machine this powerful would need to be the world’s most guarded secret. And for as long as it has existed, “the Forever Machine” has been pursued by the Needle’s Eye, a group of the rich, powerful and nefarious who seek to use it to fulfill their own desires… Enter Dudley Datson, a science-loving geek who goes to a school for gifted kids in Brooklyn, NY. His closest friend is his science teacher, Dr. Adara Shae. She’s brilliant and well known around the world, doing a residency at Dudley’s school, and recognizes his promise. She’s also the current protector of the Forever Machine… After the Needle’s Eye catches up to her, a dying Dr. Shae passses the Forever Machine to Dudley. And where the machine goes, its guardian mechanical dog Daedalus follows. Full of gadgets and tricks, able to speak, Daedalus becomes Dudley’s protector as they struggle to keep the Forever Machine away from the Needle’s Eye. Canary Writer – Scott Snyder Artist – Daniel Duke Panosian In 1891 a mine collapsed into itself. What was the dark substance found 666 feet underground? Blending modern horror, historical fact and Western lore, Scott Snyder and Dan Panosian have created a uniquely terrifying thriller with Canary. During the final days of the Gold Rush, one mining company in Colorado, pulled up radioactive Uranium, and then the mine then collapsed in on itself. Legends sprung up about the mine being cursed or even haunted. Now the Frontier is closed, the gold and silver mines have dried up. The country is becoming “civilized,” and yet in one stretch of the Rocky Mountains, a terrifying, new kind of violence is suddenly emerging. Random killings. People going mad and murdering neighbors, classmates without real cause. When a schoolboy kills his teacher with a hatchet, a famous federal marshal named Azrael William Holt is called in to investigate the killings. What he–and a brilliant young geologist–uncover is stranger and more horrifying than anything they could have ever imagined. Duck and Cover Writer – Scott Snyder Artist – Rafael Albuquerque From the team that brought you Vertigo’s American Vampire comes Duck and Cover, a manga-influenced teen adventure set in the strange post-apocalyptic America… of 1955. When a sudden nuclear exchange obliterates the United States, only the children who hid under their school desks are spared. These teens now find themselves the lone survivors in a strange and wild new ’50’s America. Stranger still, some of them seem to be developing superhuman powers… The kids knew the drill. They practiced it so many times. When the air raid siren goes off, you hide under your desk. But they never expected to live in a world where everyone who didn’t hide under a desk is dead. Now there are no teachers. There are no adults. What are they supposed to do? Why were they spared? Duck and Cover is a riveting sci-fi thriller, chock full of Cold War paranoia, strange mutant lands, and tribes of super powered children. Book of Evil Writer – Scott Snyder Artist – Jock Scott Snyder and Jock—the creative team of the New York Times bestselling blockbuster The Batman Who Laughs—reunite for a young adult horror graphic novel. The Book of Evil tells the story of four young friends growing up in a strange, near future where over 90% of the pop...

How This Crypto Pulled Off A Surprise 60% Rally In This Area – Find Out Here – NewsBTC https://dentoncountynewsonline.com/how-this-crypto-pulled-off-a-surprise-60-rally-in-this-area-find-out-here-newsbtc/ Crypto assets have different utilities, but at the end of the day, their performance will be evaluated by their trading price, volume and total market capitalization. That is perhaps the lesson that was reminded to the Polygon network and its native cryptocurrency MATIC, which continues to decline after attaining its all-time high just 10 months ago. The 14th largest crypto by market cap, according to Coingecko, is trading at $0.813 as of this writing. It has been down by 1.6% for the last 24 hours but is still sitting on a 6.2% gain over past seven days. While still far from the ATH of $2.92 which the crypto hit on December 27, 2021, the asset is among those that are on the green as the digital currency market prepares for the tail-end of 2022. MATIC Performs Well In Dapps Area Recently, Polygon released a report that supposedly contained one of the significant accomplishments of the network for the year 2022. This pertains to the unprecedented growth in terms of the number of Decentralized Applications (Dapps) that are built on the Polygon chain, which reached the 53K mark at the end of the third quarter of this year. The number is three times bigger than the one tallied by Polygon on March of this year and 60% higher than the total for the entire second quarter. The creator of the MATIC crypto has every reason to celebrate such feat, considering Dapps are often built into the Ethereum network. One potential reason for this surge is the recent partnership of Polygon with Starbucks, Robinhood and Nothing. Crypto Continues To Struggle Amid Milestone While the Polygon network enjoys its success in the Dapps arena, its crypto is not looking so good right now according to some metrics. MATIC’s 24-hour trading volume as of this writing is $271.58 million after falling by 6.86%. The crypto is also witnessing a drop in its one-day circulation data. On October 3, the digital asset recorded 117.36 million circulating supply. That number dwindled significantly to just 869,000 at press time. Addresses for the crypto also decreased, from 2,747 to 2,407, although the decline seems to be insignificant. Negativity just seems to keep on piling for MATIC, as its social volume is also on a downward trend, indicating the crypto community is not that enthusiastic with the asset’s future. The token is currently sitting on an almost-insignificant social dominance of 0.023%, several steps behind the 1.589% it tallied on September 21, 2022. MATIC total market cap at $7.21 billion | Featured image from The Daily Hodl, Chart: TradingView.com

Youth Killed By Guns In US Equals Classroom A Day – Medscape https://dentoncountynewsonline.com/youth-killed-by-guns-in-us-equals-classroom-a-day-medscape/ The number of children and teens who die from gun violence in the United States on a given day could fill a typical high school classroom, according to the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP). Preventing firearm-related injuries and deaths in children and youth “demands a public safety approach like regulation of motor vehicles,” the group said. The organization on Saturday released an updated policy statement and technical report about gun violence and children at its 2022 annual meeting in Anaheim, California. The reports were published in the journal Pediatrics, and the authors plan to discuss them during the conference. “Each day, 28 US children and teens — the equivalent of a high school classroom — die from gun violence, making it the No. 1 killer of youth through age 24,” the AAP said in a statement about the reports. “The national death rate is significantly higher than all other high-income countries combined, largely due to an alarming increase in suicides and homicides that do not make national headlines.” Firearms have become the leading cause of death among children in the United States.  In 2020, guns caused 10,197 deaths of Americans younger than 24, according to the Society for Adolescent Health and Medicine. In 2015, more than 7200 American youth were killed by firearms. That same year in 28 other high-income countries — which combined would have had a population twice that of the United States — just 685 youth were killed by firearms, according to the AAP. Separately at the AAP conference, physicians are presenting new research about gun violence and children. And on Monday, a pediatrician who was at Uvalde Memorial Hospital in Texas after the deadly school shooting in May is scheduled to address attendees. The doctor, Roy Guerrero, MD, testified on Capitol Hill to advocate for gun control after the shooting at Robb Elementary School, which killed 19 children and two adults. “This is not a simple problem and it cannot be fixed with a simple solution,” Lois K. Lee, MD, MPH, said in the AAP news release. Lee chairs the AAP Council on Injury, Violence, and Poison Prevention that wrote the new reports. “Pediatricians as a start can offer families guidance and education on more safely storing guns. AAP also calls for supporting legislation that, much like the common-sense requirements for obtaining a driver’s license, would improve gun ownership safety.” Many Deaths Occur at Home The rate of homicide from firearms in US youth, especially those aged 15-24 years, increased by 14% during the past decade, and the rate of suicide from firearms increased by 39%, according to the AAP.   Homicides account for 58% of youth firearm deaths, whereas suicides account for 37%. Another 2% of youth firearm deaths are unintentional, and 1% result from law enforcement actions, the group said. Among children 12 years old and younger, about 85% of firearm deaths occur at home. Teen firearm deaths are about as likely to occur at home (39%) as on the street or sidewalk (38%), according to research based on 2014 data. “School shootings represent a relatively new phenomenon over the last half-century, and the United States has the highest rate of school shootings in the world,” the AAP technical report noted. Between 1966 and 2008, according to the group, 44 such shootings occurred in the United States, or an average of about one per year. Fast forward a few years and the violence became dramatically worse: Between 2013 and 2015, officials counted 154 school shootings — or about one per week. Still, school shootings are responsible for less than 1% of all firearm deaths among children 17 years or younger in the United States. While school shootings “receive a tremendous amount of attention,” the report stated, other child firearm deaths may be less likely to make national headlines. “Many firearm tragedies escape public attention because they occur in a home, sometimes in a child’s own home or at a friend’s house, or their neighbor’s or grandparent’s residence,” Eric W. Fleegler, MD, MPH, Boston Children’s Hospital, a co-author of the new reports, said in a statement from AAP. “Research tells us that families tend to underestimate how children will behave when they encounter a gun and miscalculate the risks. Suicide risks are also a huge concern, especially in families where teens are struggling with their mental health.” AAP-recommended actions include: Mental health screenings and safe gun storage education provided by clinicians as part of routine patient visits Increased funding for violence intervention programs in hospital and community settings Regulation of firearms like other consumer products, with national requirements that address training, licensing, insurance coverage, registration of individuals purchasing firearms, and safe storage The use of technology that allows only authorized users to pull the trigger Universal background checks that use federal databases and information from local police before all gun purchases Extreme risk protection order (ERPO) laws, or “red flag laws,” that prohibit individuals at risk for harming themselves or others from purchasing or owning a firearm More funding for firearm injury and prevention research. A Noticeable Increase in the ED Irma Ugalde, MD, associate professor and director of pediatric emergency medicine research at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston in Texas, noticed that firearm-related injuries in children at her hospital were more common during the COVID-19 pandemic, even as pediatric emergency department (ED) visits decreased overall. She and her colleagues studied the trends and reported their findings at the AAP meeting. “We saw a drop in pediatric admissions overall,” Ugalde said in a statement about the study. “But what was really noticeable was that trauma was still very prevalent — in fact probably more so — and we were seeing more firearm injuries.” The researchers found that firearm injuries in children rose from 88 cases in 2019 to 118 in 2020. The number of incidents remained elevated in 2021, with 115 cases. In addition, the researchers found an initial increase in injuries occurring at home where the shooter was a known family member or friend, and in cases involving firearms that were not properly stored. By comparison, pediatric ED visits overall decreased by 34.2% from 2019-2020, and by 11.8% from 2019-2021. The increase in firearm injuries coincided with an increase in gun sales in the United States, the researchers noted. “National and statewide initiatives to mitigate the risk of firearm-related injury and death are necessary,” Ugalde’s group said. “We recommend that healthcare workers remain vigilant about screening for potential risk factors and safe storage of firearms.” Accidental Injuries Daniel D. Guzman, MD, with Cook Children’s Health Care Center in Fort Worth, Texas, conducted a study focused on unintentional firearm injuries in children. Guzman’s group analyzed data from 204 patients younger than age 19 seen at Cook Children’s from January 2015–June 2021. Guzman and his colleagues examined outcomes for injuries caused by powder guns — shotguns, rifles, and handguns — and air-power guns that shoot BBs and pellets. The researchers found that 29% of the unintentional firearm injuries occurred with powder guns and 71% with air-power weapons, often BB guns. “It is important that all firearms, powdered and air-powered, be stored safely in a lock box or safe,” Guzman said in a statement. To that end, Cook Children’s has developed a program called Aim for Safety to teach children and parents about the dangers of unsupervised play with BB guns and pellet guns, as well as the importance of storing all firearms unloaded and in a locked safe. Hyundai Launches Quirky Ioniq 5-Powered EV Getaway Hotel In England – CarBuzz https://dentoncountynewsonline.com/hyundai-launches-quirky-ioniq-5-powered-ev-getaway-hotel-in-england-carbuzz/ A stress-free and serene vacation powered by the energy of the South Korean EV crossover. Guests in England who want to be more in touch with their electric cars can now enjoy a relaxing stay at Hyundai’s new EV-powered hotel experience in conjunction with Kip Hideaways. The resort is aptly named Hotel Hyundai and is currently open for bookings. The brand says that this launch is in response to research it conducted that revealed 2,000 holidaymakers in the region are unlikely to go on international vacation due to the increased cost of living. The special vacation destination is described as a high-end luxury cabin located on the Colemans farm covering 200 acres of historic farmlands. The cabin is equipped to be on the same standard as a boutique hotel as it includes all of the necessities ranging from premium lighting, charging points, a kettle, and a shower, all of which are powered by the Hyundai Ioniq 5 using its Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) technology. Hyundai Hyundai The hotel offers facilities that include a bar, a restaurant, and a cinema that are also powered by the electric crossover. The eating and drinking station has been curated by celebrity chef Grace Dent who has ensured that the offerings are both innovative and sustainable. All ingredients are sourced locally from the Essex region. Partnering with this section is an Ioniq 5-themed coffee lounge that boasts an espresso machine powered by the EV. The cinematic experience employs the Ioniq 5’s projector and speakers. This is accompanied by a V2L popcorn machine for movie-goers who start to feel a bit peckish. The big question is whether the compact EV crossovers have the gusto to consistently run a full-scale cabin resort. The brand affirms that thanks to its maximum AC power capacity of 3.6 kilowatts, the Ioniq 5 can power basic appliances using a special adapter with ease. Hyundai believes that the locals will genuinely appreciate the off-the-grid experience, as the aforementioned research also revealed that locals are keen on spending their free vacation time at home. This is predominately due to the desire to support local businesses, minimize travel, and lower their overall carbon footprint. The only question is, what happens when the cars run out of juice; how are they recharged? This novelty resort looks cool, but is it truly sustainable? Hopefully, solar and wind will generate energy to recharge the cars. Kip Hideaways CarBuzz Hyundai

Former Wasps Chief Spearheads Bid For Stricken Premiership Rugby Club – Sky News https://dentoncountynewsonline.com/former-wasps-chief-spearheads-bid-for-stricken-premiership-rugby-club-sky-news/ A former boss of crisis-hit Wasps is spearheading a takeover bid for the Premiership Rugby club that could save it from the threat of relegation or extinction. Sky News has learnt that David Armstrong, who stepped down as Wasps’ chief executive in 2017, is working with Terminum Capital, an investment firm, on a bid to buy the club and its Coventry Arena stadium. Sources close to the auction of Wasps, which is taking place just days before its holding company faces being plunged into administration, said the bid led by Mr Armstrong and Terminum Capital was worth more than £50m, with a further £12m earmarked for working capital. Wasps, who play host to Northampton Saints in a Gallagher English Premiership match on Sunday afternoon, have been pushed to the brink of financial ruin by a debt pile which includes an unpaid tax bill owed to HM Revenue & Customs. The club’s parent company, Wasps Holdings, filed a notice of intention to appoint FRP Advisory, the restructuring firm, as administrator on September 21. This was followed by a second such notice last week. Those filings buy companies ten days of breathing space from creditors while they seek to find a way through their financial troubles. Wasps is one of the oldest clubs in English rugby, having been founded in 1867 in Hampstead, London. It currently sits in 11th place in the 12-team table ahead of Sunday’s match. People close to the auction of Wasps say a solvent deal to buy the club and its stadium, either together or separately, is unlikely. The Terminum Capital bid led by Mr Armstrong is said to have requested to Premiership Rugby Limited, the league’s administrator, and the Rugby Football Union, the sport’s governing body, that a deal executed through an administration process should not result in the club’s relegation. The game’s authorities have the discretion to apply a points deduction rather than demotion in the event of something called a ‘no-fault administration’, according to one rugby insider. Wasps’ stadium includes conference and banqueting facilities which are believed to have drawn interest from a number of other bidders which are not interested in buying the rugby club itself. Oakwell Sports, one of the UK’s leading sports-focused corporate finance firms, and its founder, Andrew Umbers, are said to be advising on Mr Armstrong’s bid. One rugby expert said the combination of Mr Armstrong’s expertise and that of Oakwell provided a “powerful combination” which could secure Wasps’ financial future. “We have a plan of bringing about global talent and fostering a greater rugby community,” said a person close to the offer. After stepping down as Wasps CEO, Mr Armstrong remained on its board as a non-executive director until 2021. A statement last week from Wasps Holdings said: “Since filing the original notice of intention on 21 September, a number of additional potential investors and funders have come forward. “Discussions are now at a relatively advanced stage, and we remain hopeful of securing a deal that will allow the group, and the entities that sit within it, to move forward. “We would like to thank all stakeholders for their engagement during this process, and in particular the constructive support and approach provided by the RFU (Rugby Football Union) and PRL (Premiership Rugby). “This will continue to be vitally important as negotiations with interested parties proceed and we remain in regular dialogue with both organisations. “While the financial circumstances facing the group are extremely challenging, we remain optimistic about a positive outcome and will keep our players, staff, supporters, partners, bond holders and suppliers updated as this process moves forward.” Mr Armstrong could not be reached for comment on Sunday. Wasps’ plight comes as Worcester Warriors, another member of the English top flight, also faces existential questions, having seen its parent company appoint Begbies Traynor as administrators last week. The financial challenges affecting a number of clubs partly arose during the COVID pandemic but have raised broader questions about the sustainability of the professional game in England.
