How women feel about Trump’s presidency: Heartbreak, fatigue, gratitude - Washington Post

Best comment - 94 yo, hopes to live long enough to see him in jail. Worst- 19 yo, blames Dems in not stopping him.

“I am frustrated with Democrats in Congress and all these other government agencies and their inability to do anything to stop him.”
“I was disappointed in the lack of progress made by the Biden administration. So, even though I voted for Kamala, I was cautiously optimistic about this administration. Trump is a doer; he takes action. He certainly took action, but in all the wrong places.”
“I’m 94, and I told my doctor I hope I live to see him in jail.”

It 's a good side effect for cancer immunotherapy patients.
Researchers examined clinical outcomes for more than 1,000 late-stage melanoma and lung cancer patients who were treated with a type of immunotherapy called immune checkpoint inhibitors.
Patients in the study who got either the Moderna or Pfizer mRNA COVID-19 vaccines within 100 days of beginning immunotherapy were more than twice as likely to survive after three years as patients who didn't receive either jab. Further, patients whose tumors don't respond well to immunotherapy were five times more likely to survive past three years if they had a Pfizer or Moderna mRNA COVID vaccine than patients who didn't get vaccinated.

Norman Rockwell’s Family Condemns Homeland Security’s Use of His Work - The New York Times Nov 4, 2025
In an opinion essay published Sunday in USA Today, Rockwell’s son and other descendants wrote that the paintings had been used without the family’s authorization and that the artist would be “devastated” to see his work “marshalled for the cause of persecution toward immigrant communities and people of color.”

What destroyed Napoleon’s army? Scientists uncover new clues. | National Geographic
One of the pathogens the team found was a species of Borrelia—a relative of the tick-borne bacteria that cause Lyme disease. It is spread by lice and triggers a debilitating illness known as ‘relapsing fever’ that is now rare in Europe. The other was a strain of Salmonella that causes a condition called paratyphoid fever. Though it has similar symptoms to typhus, like fever, rashes and diarrhea, it is not spread by lice like typhus is. People tend to get infected by it from consuming water and food polluted by fecal matter.
