The Pony Express was a system of U.S. mail delivery that operated from April 3, 1860, until October 1861. It consisted of continuous horse-and-rider relays between St. Joseph, Missouri, and Sacramento, California, with steamers covering the final leg from Sacramento to San Francisco.

Video about RR, just a moments view in post car didn't show or tell of bags crowded into aisles during Chistmas time and sorter could toss bundle into any bag for full length of car, we were at museum end of June 1987 display is bigger now. I thought it was a Burlington car but the car is North Western.
