I have some public notes Chrome and Raindrop have text highlighting though not the same. Raindrop can highlight any number of discontiguous

  texts.  Chrome can specify one
  area in a link or bookmark.
You can't store or use bookmarklets
     through Raindrop, you need to use
     browser bookmarks for that.

Bookmarks in browsers are inadequate, raindrop.io solves missing descriptions since Netscape and better Firefox days and has additional features and better searches for bookmarks and sharing of bookmarks with others. But it does not store and cannot use bookmarklets. Bookmarklets require wonky prefix additions for lack of keyword shortcuts/alias to use properly and take at least 10 times longer to implement a bookmarklet than older Netscape and Firefox browsers had. Note all offerings in the searches begin with a lowercase letters, operands must match on lettercase, so watch out when doing a search that you don't get messed up with an automatic capital letter as the first word in your raindrop search.

Search will retain o_evious search clearly with the "x" at right of search deleting letter and sore from previous search does not work. The x may not be a available on mobile devices if you can't get to the right side of the search bar.

Trying to work with bookmark groups on mobile devices is a major problem so don't use nesting or you will not find your groups when the end up jester somewhere else because you don't have mouse buttons to drag and drop.

𝄚 Bookmark example.com#XXXXnnn anything for ID but must be unique and one word. Then place your note in the NOTE section of the raindrop bookmark. You will have to edit bookmark to read your note.

𝍤 Solution on my tablet and cellphone in device Settings > Display > Touch Sensitivity (increase the touch sensitivity of the screen for use with screen protection) > ON Seems counter intuitive but it works. This setting is NOT available on my Anazon Tablet.
