California authorities are asking for the public's help in identifying the final unknown victim of the early-1990s "Happy Face Killer."

Dubbed the "Happy Face Killer" for drawings he left on anonymous letters, Keith Hunter Jesperson pleaded guilty in 2010 to murdering the woman in 1992. He referred to her as "Claudia," but that may not be her real name, California authorities said.

Officials say they need the public's help to solve a decadeslong mystery: the identity of a woman whose body was left on the side of a California road by a man known as the "Happy Face Killer."

Since Keith Hunter Jesperson's arrest in 1995, investigators in at least six states have worked to unravel the identities of his victims.
